re: Bette Midler on Broadway.

No it was Harry Goz.

I was 13 and my parents took me and my sister to see it. I distinctly remember being offended by one of the daughters because she kept cracking up on stage. Even at 13, I felt it was "unprofessional"!

A few years later after she started performing as the Divine Miss M, I heard her relate a story about laughing onstage during Fiddler.

My parents saw her in it. They even have the souvenier program to prove it!

re: Bette Midler on Broadway.

I remember in some book about Tony Awards, they printed a picture of Bette Midler from "Fiddler". But it was a posed studio shot of her in the wedding dress and it was sepia toned to look like your Great-Grandmother's wedding picture.

I wonder if they did that for all the actresses playing that part, of just Bette?

Or because the choreography constantly separates her from the other two. Not that I don't love her...

re: Bette Midler on Broadway.

There is a entire "Bette" store. All kinds of shirts, books, programs, pens, lighters, magnets, sweatshirts, posters from concerts past, and many other things. Buy before the show. The line is long after the show.
