If Helen didn't scream in the diary room or act like the house counselor, I think I'd like her more. Eh. I don't think she's any louder than most of the others. It's so common every season, I'm just used to it. The microphone is positioned several feet from the chair, so I think they just don't understand how mic levels work and are thrown off by the proximity.
I think all the 'comforting' comes from her maternal instinct. Isn't she also the oldest person in the house? That would add to that as well. And I really do think she cares about the PERSON, but she keeps it in check that they are PLAYERS. Oh, I doubt she really cares about Amanda, Spencer or Aryan as people. She is brown-nosing, plain and simple. She just lays it on WAY too thick with her "You are an amazing human being!" crap. I agree that it is sickening and it is the only thing about Helen that really bothers me. That, and targeting Judd. I really don't think she thought that one through very well. But she and Amanda seem to be the only ones truly strategizing at all from what I can tell. Well, except Jessie actually stepped up a couple of times, but she was just ineffective. Most of these idiots are just stubborn sheep waiting to be herded, sheered and ultimately slaughtered.
Putting Jessie and Spencer on the block is a total waste of an HoH unless he's planning to backdoor Helen, Aryan or Amanda.
Props to Amanda. She actually made Aryan look like the better person. That was not an easy task to achieve.
I have absolutely zero interest in seeing any previous "evil" BB players return. Survivor did the Heroes vs Villains season and it was no fun watching people you hated the first time around come back.
I never really understood all the obsessive love for Janelle. Yes, she was occasionally funny, but most of the time, I just saw her being a self-absorbed mean-girl bitch. Like the Real Housewives, I never really got the appeal of these character types.
