I'm tired of "Dumb Movies On Parade," but apparently I'm in the minority.
I'm sure it'll be a big, fat, stupid hit. And I'm also sure I won't see it.
Talladega Nights was a terrific movie to fall asleep during on an airplane. I've no doubt this will "rank right up there."
As for Napoleon Dynamite? Piece o' slacker poo. Unfunny slacker poo, at that.

I saw a preview of a skate chase scene which I thought was pretty funny in a ridiculous sort of way. Unfortunately these movies always seem to parade their best scenes for the public on tv, and then you are disappointed to see those scenes are as good as it gets.
Will Ferrell will probably create several truly hilarious comedic moments, but probably not enough to make this movie worth it. We'll see.

I couldn't get past the first five minutes of NAPOLEON DYNAMITE.
And when I saw the movie with Reese and Mark, I saw the same idiot (Heder), just with a better (but still bad) haircut.

Okay, I'll be the first person to say it:
This is the funniest movie I've seen, so far, this year. For those of you who are looking for a fun and witty comedy, with some truly inspired moments, you're not going to do much better than this movie right now.
It's hilarious, with some of the funniest scenes I've laid eyes on in a year. In my opinion, Ferrell's best movie since... ever.

Though I still like the absolute absurdities of ANCHORMAN more, BLADES OF GLORY was a f*cking hoot. Being a fan of Ferrell and figure skating, I was in heaven.
And by NO MEANS did they show the movie's funniest bits in the coming attractions. There is one moment that features a silver medalist that had me on the floor. And the hands-down funniest moment in the film...involving a very dangerous new move...well, I'm still speechless about it.

I'll admit that I like Will Ferrell, mostly in Old School and Anchorman, so I'll probably rent this movie. (I never go to the theatres to see comedies because they're usually hit or miss for me and I don't like wasting my money.) I will admit that he doesn't really vary his performances, but sometimes it's nice to turn my brain off for awhile and laugh at a tall guy with love handles running around naked.
papa, I have to disagree with Winter Passing. I thought his performance was really out of place in that movie. Of course, I really disliked that movie anyway.

Posted: 4/2/07 at 3:51pmI loved it! Will was great and Jon was a hoot. Amy and Will were priceless. The movie was really funny and I agree with robbiej that they didn't show all the funny parts in the trailers and commercials. Seriously, go see it.

Blades of Glory looks like a movie drooling with homophobic jokes. If I tried to go see it, I would almost definitely walk out. I mean, just look at the poster:
And just for the record, Will Ferrell is not funny at all.

Posted: 4/2/07 at 5:19pmThe movie wasnt as bad as it could have been, but it wasn't the best either. It was funny, but in the way that every other Will Ferrell movie is. I would have preferred to wait til DVD, but whatevs...

Being a figure skater I thought it was hillarious, probably one of the funniest movie I've seen in a while.
*Spoiler
I loved how they made fun of Johnny Weir and parodied the cutting edge.
