Whatcha think?

Whoopee, another 4 years of stroking Bloomberg's ego.
He's stopped smoking in bars, took transfat out of our diets and said we should buy bikes when the subway went on strike.
In the next four years, he will remove alcohol from Manhattan, ensure that all citizens wear natural fibers and allow citizens to only use a washing machine once a month.
ehh Juliani wanted it if I recall. I don't see any harm in it. He's done some really great things for this city.
He needs to get his attention on the Freedom Tower and the 2nd Ave subway. What a mess.

There hasn't been much in the way of people stepping up to take his place, to be sure. Quinn seemed like the natural successor until her latest spat of problems.
If Gothampc doesn't like him - then he must be doing something right.
i'm okay with having him another term. These days, instead of saying what good did someone in office do, we have to say, well, nothing catastrophic happened.
I was actually kind of hoping whomever won the Presidential election would appoint him Treasury Secretary, to fix this mess.
I'm also still holding out hope this man will run for President one day.
Yes, I'm a fan of Bloomberg (and I don't even live in NYC, fwiw).

I think both of those are controlled by the state.
I think another Bloomberg term would be great.
I applaud the smoking in bars and transfats bans.
I'd rather have him as Obama's SecTreas.
I like the smoking ban and trans fat bans too....does anyone really miss Crisco?
To eat I mean?
Haha, good one, lildogs!
It's very revealing, and a good sign that the two things mentioned here which need attention are the tower and the subway. We're in pretty good shape if those are the top two problems!
The smoking ban is the best thing to happen to this city since the Empire State Building.
(IMHO)
I think the smoking ban is awful. Allowing bars and restaurants to be smoke free if they want, that's a good solution. Even though smoking is gross, it is not illegal. Now smokers are on the streets where every passerby can enjoy it.
Now he's banning smoking in your own home. That's frightening to me.
This may not sound very nice, but I really don't care if there's a memorial or not--had I lost someone, I MIGHT feel differently, but I doubt it.

I'm cool with the smoking ban, and the transfat ban.
Telling me to buy a bike and hitch-hike during the transit strike? Not cool.
Bringing the Republican National Convention to NYC, at a cost of three hundred million dollars to the city? Not cool.
Wanting a third term, when he himself called the idea of a third term for Giuliani was "disgusting" is just another bit of his hypocrisy.
Go back to running your financial empire, Mikey. Let someone else have a turn.
Bloomberg's term has seen a huge building boom, and all the bribes and corruption that go with it. I wouldn't mind a little quality of life. NYC's citizenry shouldn't have to pick its way through rubbly construction with the prongs of a giant backhoe bucket dangling mere feet away as part of the daily commute.
He could also loosen some of the rules Guliani laid down that strangled Manhattan's nightlife scene to death.
Maybe Obama will win in Nov and tap Bloomberg to serve as his Sec of the Treasury. He'd probably have to do some major divesting first though to avoid the numerous conflicts of interest. But then again, how did Paulson get the job?
