Boyfriend ? (GAY or straight)

How do you think I good boyfriend should act ??? Because there are a lot of guys out there who don't know how to be one, and don't know how to treat the people they are with.
(This goes for GAY or straight relationships lol)

-Don't act like you're the coolest **** that ever walked through the door.
-Don't cheat
-Don't act differently around your friends
-Don't hit your girlfriend (or..boyfriend)
-Respect your girlfriend/boyfriend


But that's just based on high school dating, which, let's be honest, is no basis of an actual relationship. I have no doubt that once you get to college age and higher, there are more qualifications that can be set up.

A good boyfriend never cheats, puts up with your crap, apologizes for his crap, and smiles and says 'thank you' when you make breakfast for him the morning after. :)

OH. And DO NOT for the life of you (if you are trying to be a good boyfriend) say that girls should not have opinions about politics.

Do what you say you are going to do. If you say you're going to call at 8, then call at 8. If you say you are going to pick them up at 8, then be there by 8. Understand when they are sick. Be supportive when need be.

How about sum maturity. I know a lot of guys that don't even act mature in a relationship. They are like 19 yrs old and act like they are 12 yrs old

Yeah but why would anyone start dating someone who was immature in the first place? Stuff like being an ass and cheating can show up later, but teens and above acting like 9 year olds is pretty evident at the start.

I have to mention that it's a two way street. Everyone wants a "good" bf, but you have to be a good bf too. You get back what you put in.
Having said that, I think some criteria are similar interests, fidelity, and respect.
