This is so sickening and so wrong! Hey unmarried pregnant teenagers- look what you can get out of not remaining abstinent! No need to struggle as a single mom when you can get this gig. How can she honestly relate to the teenagers she will speak to? Seems like she has turned Hollywood as well- another example of hypocrisy! ABC should be ashamed. She is less than a "star" than Kate Gosselin and you know how much I LOATHE her. Also The Situation and Audrina-PAHLEEZE! I would only tune in for Florence Henderson- she may be the first "old" person to win! Gotta go and throw up now!

I hope this is FALSE! I cannot STAND her. This is just as bad as having Kate Gosselin, Lance Bass, and Kim Kardashian on the show.

However, Brandy is most likely to be on the show as well. This excites me because I loved when she played "Cinderella" in the ABC production. I think she'll an advantage since she's taken ballroom lessons before:

Honestly, if they are really going for all these stupid people now, I think it is time for it to go off the air. It no longer is what it started out as.

Season one cast consisted of a reality TV "star" (The Bachelorette), a boxer, an 'actress' (a handful of direct-to-DVD movies), an ex-boyband member, an 'actor' (A dozen or so appearances on Seinfeld) and was won by an 'actress' whose biggest payday previously was probably her three walk-on roles on Baywatch. I don't really think anyone can make a serious claim the "Quality" of the "Stars" has declined.

I don't have any problems with gay people because my uncle, who's been good to me my entire life, and his partner are gay and I will always consider them part of my family. The 5th grade teacher at my elementary school was also a lesbian, but she was very nice. I also think Ellen Degeneres is a very funny lady.

However, Lance Bass disappeared into thin air after NSYNC broke up and all he was well-known for after that was coming out of the closet. ABC wanted to gain a gay fan base with "Dancing with the Stars" while they were doing the same thing with Callie and Erica on "Grey's Anatomy." Here's the proof in this article:

"the network has a good history of pushing the man-on-man envelope. 'ABC has shown an admirable commitment to representing gay people on many of their most popular shows,' a GLAAD rep said in a statement"

ETA: I still watch "Grey's Anatomy" to this day, but I didn't watch while Erica Hahn was on there because she was incredibly RUDE and had NO PERSONALITY whatsoever. Arizona Robbins is a terrific character on the show because she's very likeable.

Ah, so you just don't think gay people belong on TV. It's not Lance per se, just him being gay you object to. I sure am glad you told us all how you don't have a problem with gay people before you told us all about your problem with gay people.

If I didn't think gay people didn't belong on television, why would I say that I am a fan of Ellen Degeneres? Her talk show is great. I also think Neil Patrick Harris is very funny as well. Also, one of my teachers had a friend named Ken who competed on the third season of "The Amazing Race" and he was entertaining to watch.

Lance Bass did NOTHING after NSYNC broke up for four years and then he made an announcement that he was gay. He also copycats anything Joey Fatone does. Joey Fatone did Broadway, he did Broadway; Joey Fatone did DWTS, he did DWTS; if Joey Fatone jumped off a bridge he'd do it too.

Lance did have that "I want to be an astronaut" phase between N'Sync breaking up and his coming out.

And whenever you feel the need to lead off a statement with "I don't have any problems with..." it is a strong indicator to many people that on some level you actually DO have a problem with the group you end up naming, in this case that group being gay people.

And yes, I did see that you "have an uncle who is gay," which often reads as the equivalent of that "some of my best friends are gay/black/etc, etc" kind of defense mechanism.

Just a bit confused as to why you couldn't just say that originally as opposed to "I don't have a problem with gay people because I watch Ellen". Which is completely irrelevant as to your opinion of Lance Bass.
