No, specifically it said they were shocked because she had been so horrible at the VMAs and people just assumed it was all downhill from there. The standard is now "not stumbling around disoriented"? AWESOME!

Going from an F to a D is an improvement too, but it's still well below average.

I just got back from the concert, it was beyond amazing and blew my expectations out of the water!

Few things-
I don't know if this is permanent, or just at the Nassau Coliseum but Britney wasn't on the big screen, just video clips and designs.

The Pussycat Dolls did not perform which was a little disappointing. The lead singer, Nicole, took ill so instead Britney had dancers come out and do circus acts from 8:10 to 9:10.

Britney looks absolutely stunning and not once let the audience just sit there, something was always going on.

I recommend everyone sees this if possible.

Also, Lady GaGa was in the audience.

Hey guys. Sorry this is so late, but I've been very busy!

I spent last week (my Spring Break) in NYC and was given tickets to see Britney in Newark, NJ in the front row. I've been a fan of Britney for a while and was very excited to hear she was going back on tour, although I had/still have some reservations on whether she is mentally ready.

I was not in the ringside/general admission seats. People who had those tickets were lining up at 6am that morning to be the first by the stage. My seats were in the first row of the actual, assigned seats.

I have to say, I was blown away by Britney. These reports of her dancing being less than stellar really shock me because she was rocking her body like no other on the 13th. Yes, she does lip sync every song, even her ballad 'Everytime'. Although, maybe somebody can clarify for me, it sounded like she sang the beginning of 'Circus' live.

The only part she really 'walked around' in were the beginning of Circus when she first makes her way onto the stage from the ceiling, and then when she was running back and forth from each ring with her dancers.

I do have to say that I'm a little disappointed, although not surprised, at the lack of interaction she has with the audience. She only addressed the audience once to say, "How are you New Jersey? This next song is called Everytime and I hope you guys like it." I feel like this choice was a mixture of hers and her managements. When Britney was going through the breakup with Justin and the media was really on her case, she took the time to address it in her previous tours. However, not a word of what has been going on with her in the past few years was mentioned. Although I can understand this, I have to say that it's like the elephant in the room that no one is talking about. Maybe it was just me? Who knows.

Overall, I had an incredible time. I danced my ass off and I'm looking forward to seeing it again in Dallas on the 31st.

Wow! She speaks 17 words to the audience and it's possible she might sing the beginning of one song live? I can't believe I could ever have been so wrong about Britney! How could I have been so wrong to believe that she's a talentless phony who pantomimes???

FIndingNamo,

When I see you suspend yourself in the air blindfolded in front of 40,000 people, I'll stop buying Britney tickets. Deal?

Friends of a friend are on the tour with Britney (they are in the opening circus act) and they confirm that Britney is no longer shown on the big screen because her lip-synching is off. And they've been on tour with her this whole time and have yet to meet her.

I'm not saying anymore cause I don't want them to get fired...heh.

I think I'd pay to see Namo blindfolded and suspended above the audience before I would pay to see Britney.

I'm not sure about the opening act performers but Britney has taken all her dancers on outings.

Britney is no longer shown on the big screen because her lip-synching is off.

How BAD does it have to be for this to be the state of a person's career? She can't even not sing.

In Boston- the only two words that she uttered live was....HELLO! BOSTON in the beginning and they have to give her a live mic because her headset is not working! its a dummy!

Britney was never on a big screen. Just saying...

You can watch videos from her opening night--there was never a big screen that had live video of her on it.

I'm surprised it's not illegal exploitation of the mentally unstable. She needs a caseworker, not a pimpfather.

Ah! Thanks for pointing it out. I never saw that.

I wish they had done that in the beginning in New York. That looks so much better than what they do now... I couldn't see her for the first few seconds when she was coming down, while when it was there (in the video), she was visible to everyone when it started. Maybe Nassau Coliseum just wasn't as tall in the center.

I wish they had had some kind of video on the big screen... sad.

btw- thanks for posting that video- now I can tell my friend that she uttered few more live words before the slow ballad. he did told me that he went out few times, because he got bored~he must have MISSED that few more live words intro before the slow ballad. Now I can correct him and tell him..NO! she ACTUALLY spoke "few more live words" probably while you were outside hitting your head with a hammer!

Your friend could have left if he didn't appreciate her.

Parks, she also used it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzXIwcbVNUY The screens she was on were actually part of the big circle screen. So, I originally thought maybe Britney and her mangers felt the Coliseum was small enough where it wasn't needed but an earlier post says she cut it out completely.
