Oh, I Know the boys weren't straight - which made Ilana's comment that much funnier! She's so oddly enthusiastic and supportive about the strangest things. Like on last season's finale when she and Abbi burned a blunt outside a fancy restaurant and shared it with the busboy, there was this little moment where she encouraged him by saying that before long he would be the one doing the cooking and he was all stoned and appreciative. Those little moments make this show for me.

Ilana also has a thing for twincest...
As typically nutty as their "Rabbit hole of the Internet" scene was--I admit, it was something I could totally relate to, even, to an extent anyway I swear, how it can make you feel after a few late hours looking up one thing leading to another, to another, to another, to another...
I loved that Ilana's real brother, who was on the web series (fans who haven't seen the original web clips--though they're rough--should check them out,) has been on more now--and with his real dog.
One complaint. This show rocks at fanservice shout outs when past characters come on, even for a second. So with Garafolo's Monica back, why didn't she at least give Ilana a dirty look? Did they bury the hatchet in between episodes due to her helping Ilana's hemorrhoids? I know the DVD of season one had many quick scenes that had to be cut to keep each episode at 21 minutes--maybe this was one of them?
Ilana tweeted that the "WANNA FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHCK" came up earlier in the writer's room by Paul Downs, who also plays Trey, when they were thinking of ways to use the F word and get it past the Comedy Central censors.

Everything that comes after it is just another treatise that makes me wonder if you can't just watch a funny show and laugh and then go get some fresh air or a soda at the malt shop or something? I feel as if the joy and spontaneity of life has been ruined for many people by DVD extras and behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Because I wish Janeane Garofolo's character had continued to show Ilana some attitude after the last time they were on the show together? Meh. You're on a thread discussing a tv show. I guess we could just have endless "That was funny!" posts? That comment came from watching the show, and watching previous episodes, not from any behind the scenes web thing or the DVD extras... (And yet you don't seem to mind breaking down all of the reasons you dislike something--which I think is fine, that's why I read these threads.)

I never suspected you didn't feel what you said, Namo. I know that even in your sarcasm you seem sincere. I just think there's more to it than that--shows like Broad City seem to feed on things like behind the scenes tweets (I don't tweet, but...) and sending fans links to deleted scenes, etc. Of course in some ways it was better before people knew all that, but right now it helps them get a following and seems to work. If it kills a show for you, then maybe don't go into a thread about Broad City on a net forum.
