These were well appreciated! The priority ranking of this thread is up there with the Andrea Rivette thread that got deleted last time it was bumped.
Whoa. Flashback!
We didn't get one in 2007.
We must have been boring.

Very funny stuff. This reminds me that I need to get Ravinia tickets.
And then there was the 2006 version...
What a long, strange journey it's been!
Addy; Do you happen to know anything solid regarding Margo Channing?
Those are so creepy to read (or skim over).

The thing with the alternative superlatives like "glorp" made me LOL then and LOL now. And the verbosity! Do you think today's 140-character world would crush Winston?
Helloooooo flashbacks
That first post reads like someone who would make a 300 page scrapbook for a total stranger about their whole life and give it to them at the stage door, essentially saying "I've been watching you...."
Seriously, it's F*CKing creepy.

Who knows? Maybe it was meant as a parody of exactly those kinds of people, given that obsessive falkers (fans/stalkers) seemed to be a topic in the posts.
I don't think so. If it were, it would have some tongue-in-cheek humor (or humour for S&Dman) but it's all very "serious" and bizarre and creepy.

Do you think you're looking at it with eyeballs of today, which were different than they eyeballs of 7 years ago? I mean, rereading it tonight, I wasn't surprised that there were events I had forgotten, but also posters. I mean, I have NO memory of the Nina poster... but it looks like she figured prominently. Nowadays, new poster names go in one eyeball and out the other. And there are very few long lasting topics or controversies other than your suesturmunddrang. I think people used to post more regularly and read more closely. That might be what seems creepy now, because it hasn't been that way in a long time.
That's quite possible. But maybe it's just that this person seemed to take detailed notes of everyone for a year and of conversations, "fights", etc. Instead of just posting (or reading in his case, since he never really posted before). If it were a regular poster thad had done that, I think I would view it as weird, but fun.
Well, with the previous year's post, it gives the 2006 'review' some more context.
I swear, I don't remember half of what he/she was referring to.
But I do remember Nina!
Oh, I remember Nina! Some people thought she was Alma Cuervo.
I remember that, PalJoey.
There was no shortage of gossip about who she really was.

Oh wait, that is tinkling a bell.
Really? People thought she was Alma Cuervo????
That might be the strangest, funniest thing I've heard in a while.
ALMA CUERVO???
I know. I remember thinking that was so random.
Of all the actresses...
I mean...Mrs. Potts/Ida Strauss??????????
It might be the most bizarre suggestion in the history of unmasking sock puppets.
I believe that she was playing Madame Morrible at the time which would explain a lot.
Why did I think Nina was Chita Rivera?
WOW! That was quite a loooooooooooong read. But I got through it.
You were even there as your old self.
