Ooh... Do I smell scandal?
I'm sure the story will develop.
Well, that's enough to get me up and turn on the news...
CNN just broke it, as far as I know. I can't find it anywhere else.
Do you think he's the agreed-upon sacrifical lamb? Rummy, Ashcroft, Tenet, and Cheney meet in a dark pub and decide that one has to go, to sate the masses...
Rock, paper, scissors... ooooH! Too bad Tenetious-G.
I'm watching this through my fingers.
isn't this just a little too convenient? a new government starting to get on it's feet in iraq, continued signs of economic growth and now george tenet is going to resign? what are these people trying to cover up???
Oh, lord. Even papa smells something rotten... *This* could be big!
flit, baby, put your sarcasm detector back into the "on" position.
And I thought you had finally seen the light. Such disappointment... Sigh.
We've all been lulled into complacency by a string of honest posts from you papa.
I look for the conspiracy in everything.
actually he's probably going (despite all the wild a**ed conspiracy speculation) because the senate intelligence committee's report, due on june 17th, pretty much flays him alive for the pre-war intelligence failures.
"Tenet addressed CIA employees and said, "It was a personal decision, and had only one basis in fact: the well being of my wonderful family, nothing more and nothing less."
He added,"I just can't let my little girl down by missing another soccer game."
Well, that's it. End of debate...
Except...

Sniff. I wish my dad had cared so much.
Oy. That presidential clap-trap about this today was ridiculous. Bush did not sound like he knew about this, or that he pushed Tenet out. Dubya really must have been taken off-guard by this. The announcement totally stepped all over the nwes cycle of his visit with the Australian PM and his departure for Europe to visit with the coalition of the willing.
Aww Namo, If it's any comfort I'm sure there are lots of people Just on this board who wish the same!(LOL);D
