I didn't realize this was a 500-year event. Wow.

Finally! Mom and Moony on the shore of Lake Michigan. I'm sure this would have been easier to post if I were a geek. Which I'm not. At all.
brd, from everything I've heard Osage is it this year. I'm seeing it tomorrow night.
I'm so out of the news loop, I've only heard bits and pieces about the flood. I did hear about those poor Scouts this morning. Very sad.

Embrace your inner geek, moony.
The IA experience puts the whole "winter-in-June" in perspective.
That is you and your mom? She looks like she's 12.
And how cute are you! You still have the same smile.
Great pic moony! Love it.

I think I was 4, so she would have been 33. Women look young in my family *coughcough*.
Moony, you are adorable! I love your pose too - so carefree and happy!
It's hard to believe she's 33 in that picture.

Except for my right arm, Deet. I'm holding it like that because it had recently come out of a cast and I couldn't get used to moving it around.
You'll be glad to know that I got over that hurdle.

You're right, Moony, they do. My mom doesn't look her age either. I'm hoping that's one of the few things I got from her.
Moony, that's a great pic!

Thanks, Girly.
Shamey, you gotta love good genes. However, Mom went on to become a sun worshiper in later years and look like a wrinkled old woman at the tender age of 55. No lie - her skin was badly wrinkled. She had a facelift at 59. Genes ain't everything.

I hadn't even noticed, Moony.
Amazing what the sun will do.
I'm definitely not a sun worshiper. I don't stay out very long without, at least, a 50 on and a hat.
It's 5:00. Something for everyone.

I'm having two of those pictures right now in real life. I'm not saying which two...

OK, folks, I have a dress fitting to go to. I probably should have gone BEFORE the cheese and wine.
Have fun! Still at work. Finishing some odds and ends since it's my Friday. YAY!

Did I miss your wedding announcement?
So many possible responses to that last post, but I'll take a hint from my 6 year old self and keep my mouth shut.
Okay, I'm off. Have a great night, everyone!
Running in because Shamey guilted me! Hey hookas. I have missed you freaks.
