The kid shot my computer with a water pistol. It won't even turn on now. I cried. I will lose SO much crap if it doesn't start back up.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Oh my God, Amber! I'm so sorry. The kid's parents should fork over for a new computer if necessary; at the very least they should pay for the repairs.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Yeah, they will probably pay for the repair. It's just so damn frustrating.

Goodness, y'all were chatty!
Just got back from "Bette and Boo" slow at points, but I enjoyed it!

Morning all!
The day has finally arrived and I haven't killed anyone yet so that has to be a good sign!
Have to get ready, run some errands and head up to the hall. My hair appt is at 11:30, fun fun.

Good morning all! My day has started out really rotten (Friday the 13th anyone?) but it picked up a lot when I got to work. I checked the calendar and the pres and each of the vice pres' are taking today off! I just may get a chance to breath today...

Mornin', all! Happy Friday!
Hey, Amber! Yay for guilt trips!
Sorry about the computer.
Mine got zapped last month, but I'm pretty confident that our computer geek can save all my crap when I finally get around to calling him. If not, I'll cry too.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

Hi all!
Mamie - you're lucky you don't work in downtown D.C. anynore. Massive poweroutage (30 city blocks)AND smoke in Metro Center station. My daughter has been stuck on subway train for almost an hour but her office building has no power sio everyone who got there on time is standing out on a crowded K Street sidewalk.

Moony - I left for work this morning with a headache, which turned into migraine status about halfway to Rosslyn. In fact, I had to get off the train and run to the 'facilities' and get sick. I got back on the train, transferred to the Blue line in Rosslyn, rode it to the end of the line without incident. Then as I exited the train, I tripped on something and went flying. The people rushing to get on that train nearly ran me over. I got myself back together and was on my way to work when my newly-pulled shoulder started throbbing. Despite the hurting I had to laugh when I realized what date it was! Then I saw that all the bosses would be out today and that started me feeling better automatically.
Honestly - as bad as I felt this morning - if I'd been on your daughter's train I would have just turned around and gone home. I wouldn't have been able to handle it. This has not been a good week for Metro.

Yes, I think Metro would agree with you! I have to admit I didn't even know our subway stations had 'facilities'!

Oh, and as for turning around and going home - no way. Trains have not been coming out of Metro Center for a while. Everything is at a dead stop while they scramble for shuttle buses. Though, with over 60 traffic lights out in the city, I'm sure gridlock on the streets is a reality by now.

They don't advertise it - but they're there. (Those station attendants have to go somewhere!) They have to make them available to customers if they're asked.
