Good morning! Happy Feast of All Saints!
Quiet night in our neighborhood. Looks like it was in Girly's too.
Got in extra early this morning. We are expecting bad storms with high winds and i'd rather be off the roads on days like that. I guess the public schools aren't open today - no school buses on the road - easier commute than usual!
Good morning, adults. Network issues this morning. Bleh. I did not eat a single piece of candy yesterday.

I didn't eat a single piece, either. I ate several.
Mornin'
Moony, I love you.

I did eat some milk duds. We had fewer kids - very cute costumes and all were very courteous! Everyone said thank you! C15 was out and about - picked him up and still amazed at the homes of his classmates!
Football playoffs start tonight! We could end up playing against a team with all of our grade school peeps!
Moony, Happy Feast of All Saints to you, too!
I ate candy yesterday. And have too much left over so I brought a big bag of it to the lobby of the building and asked the Doorman to set out a bowl on the table for everyone.
The kids who participated last night were adorable. Cute costumes and very polite. One little one (not more than 4) kept wanting to show me his dragon tail. Adorable.
I had a 9am appt. with my contractor who was finally coming to finish up a few things that needed some fixing. Except they never showed up. At 10am I got a call apologizing. Grrr. I grabbed a cab to cut my losses and tried to get to the office as quickly as possible. The wind and rain have really picked up.
Happy Friday.
November. How is that possible?
Morning peoples! Happy November!
I only had to ignore my doorbell twice which was ok by me. Won a costume contest last night though so that's something. Saw lots of cute kid costumes on facebook and via all the parents at work. Lots of creativity goin on out there. Several Tink & Peter pans.
The storm blew through here about 30 mins ago or so but only lasted about 10-15 minutes. Already LOTS of power outages reported in the area though. Fun.
I've still ignored all the sweets out today but have hit the cheese/salami platter that is out a few times. oops.

The whole November thing freaks me out! Time is just passing us by! Will not be long and the girls will be home for the Holidays. (Addy - need a personal assistant while you are in Chicago?) These kids need to do some work for $$ over the holidays.
Good afternoon peeps! My last official day of vacation..where has the time gone? Up early, drop the kids off at the groomers, ran some errands and now doing laundry. Going out for ribs tonight with friends, so I want to have everything done for Monday morning. Tomorrow going to Trenton to see our new Bishop get consecrated. Our Pastor said we shouldn't miss it, so HC is dragging me. So much I'd rather be doing around the house. Especially being I can't do them today with the rain.

That is success to me. Our house is in disarray. We have both worked all week and I worked on Sunday as well.
Mornin'
I don't know, SoMMS, but it was an excellent weekend! Dinner on Saturday with two of my favorite people at my favorite restaurant, the rest of the weekend devouring a new book about my favorite dysfunctional family. Heaven

I have to smile when I think of your weekend, SOMMS.
Gorgeous weekend here! Our production of Guys and Dolls was excellent and played to packed houses. Hubby even came to see the show Saturday night (4 of his students were in it). Yesterday we went down to the National Gallery of Art, had lunch, then viewed the Byzantine icon exhibit and the exhibit on the 54th Massachusetts regiment. Downtown DC was blazing in Fall colors.
By the way - Moonchild was in NYC this weekend, too. Seems it was the place to be!
Morning!
Sounds like some exciting weekends so far!!
I had a friend's bachelorette party festivities on Saturday night. There was some drama leading up to it but everything turned out mostly well in the end. I still don't quite understand all the fuss and hubbub but she had a blast. Now just have to get through another dress fitting next week, rehearsal dinner and then wedding day. And dress shopping tomorrow night for my cousin's wedding. And then first dress fitting for my best friend's wedding in a few weeks..... Lots of happy soon to be wed peoples!
I still have to watch Revenge. I fell asleep early last night and only got to catch OUAT.
Morning peeps! It took me all morning to get through emails. Finally caught up.
This morning some woman hit a pedestrian in front of the Port Authority. She actually tried getting away, but luckily the light on 42nd Street turned red and taxis surrounded her car. At first I was confused at the mob chasing the car until I saw the person laying in the street. WTF is wrong with people? How do you hit someone and then try leaving the scene?

Happy Monday Adults.
Thank goodness for the extra hour! I needed my beauty sleep.
Boobs, I just don't understand folks these days.
Tink - I am glad my bridesmaids days are long behind me. I was one a few times, and really not in my wheelhouse.

Being a bridesmaid is an expensive job. My daughter swears she'll never do it again. It's so much more than just the dress.

Boobs - that is crazy. There was a hit and run on the south side here and a mob attacked the driver.
not in my wheelhouse - phrase of the day. I am going to try to use it four times in conversation today!
OMG Boobs, that is awful!! Good to see people rally around and not let the culprit get away! Def not a good way to start the morning
Luckily for the wedding this month, the family took care of all the shower costs, but it will still end up costing me around $600-700 with gift and all. My best friend's wedding will end up at around $1500 once we factor in hotel rooms and all (it is in Montauk NY) (more if we do travel for her bachlorette events... I'm subtlety trying to deter from that) and it is looking at about the same for my cousin's wedding a month later since her MOH's are already going nutzo on plans.
At least the dresses are pretty.
Shoot me.
Crazed here. UGH. So need to win the lottery.
Three times was enough for me being a bridesmaid. Back in the olden days, all you had to worry about was the dress/accessories and partial bridal shower. Now there's all that bachelorette party nonsense. What a crock of crap that is. And when I was a bridesmaid, it was all I could do to afford what I needed to. And engagement parties? Bull dinkies on that one. How much do people expect you to spend on them? Jeezus.

MT - that is crazy! We are the age of few weddings. Most of friends kids are too young to get married. Soon that will change. On the other hand, my friend is having his first child soon at age 47!
