Yes, it's all nuts. After this year, I am going to be politely declining pretty much all future offers. And stop befriending women in general.

Last time Mrs Brd was a bridesmaid, the bride had her split the lunch cost when she asked her to be a bridesmaid - it only got worse. All of the bridesmaids left the head table as the bride was berating the mother of the groom because her ten year old daughter brought a friend to the wedding.
I was a bridesmaid 17 times. I 'retired' at 15, but then 2 'besties' forced me out of retirement for bridesmaid gigs #16 and 17.
Glad to hear that nice weekends were had. Mine was one to forget.
The bright spot was turning the clock back an hour.
Happy Monday to all.

That is surreal - there are not even 17 people who like me!
WOW 17! I've been lucky to be in only 6.
I had quite the collection of dresses.
I suppose I should feel fortunate to have been asked. Right??!!...
(SO glad those days are behind me!)

My church does a musical every June. If they do the one they spoke of yesterday I may just have to make a return to the stage.

I just realized the first wedding I was in, was 29 years ago yesterday.

If we actually stuck with our first planned wedding date - Last Monday would have been a 9 year anniversary. *shudder*

Nope, just him. We got engaged in 2003 and set out first date immediately for 2004, then realized we were insane, and then scheduled it in 2005.... and then I called that one off 8 months before, once again, realizing I was barely legal to drink let alone get married, lol. Damn shiny diamonds are distracting.
I remember the first wedding I was in was February. I know because they give us cuff links and a tie tac with Amethyst stones in them. I actually still have that set and it remains my favorite. It has to be 40 years ago because I was still in grammar school.
Oh wow, boobs! I can barely hold onto something from last week!
My first wedding was when I was in 1st grade and I was a flower girl for my godmother (and my mom was happy because she just reused my dress for communion the next year and the next 2 halloweens!). Then I was a JR Bridesmaid in my mother's wedding in 4th grade... then nada until I was 19.
I've only been in two, and that was two, too many. Marriage -- phtooie!
Poddie, I guess I won't ask you to be the flower girl in my next one then.
But, being able to wear a cute little white dress, patent leather shoes and a tiara could convince me to change my mind.
Poddie, I wouldn't have it any other way.
BTW I made the Chocolate-chocolate bacon cookies yesterday. They're actually good. HC who mocked me really like them too.

Yes, she is fiercely loyal to me! She has her faults, but is such a kind and committed person I overlook most!
Get out and vote!
Morning!
