Brd, the book is "Mama Rose's Turn."
I've been in two weddings, and that's plenty. I like going to weddings, well, I like drinking at weddings. Being in them, not so much. Except, I learned to drink at the first wedding I was in when I was the ring bearer. I was allowed to "taste my first champagne." I liked it.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Voted. Even got a sticker to wear!
I'm working from home this morning. Have rehearsal this afternoon and it's a rare quiet day with all clients traveling so decided to fire up the laptop and work at home instead of going into the office. Peaceful and productive. I wouldn't want to do it all the time but its nice once in a while.
It also gives me a chance to drill more of the rapid-fire Italian phrases we sing in the opera. Tongue-twisters! Music is glorious.

Tuesday - better than Monday, not as good as Wednesday.
Just plenty of busy work, and a chat with a headhunter who contacted me. No harm in chatting. They are looking for an attorney in LA with just about my background. I am curious about what the market is for someone with my background.
I probably will do nothing, but the Shenanigans at work are beginning to really annoy me.

I voted via mail, since I already had plans this evening and I couldn't count on me not hitting the snooze while trying to get there first thing in the morning. First time I ever did that. And even when I go in person, I've never gotten a pretty "I Voted" sticker.

I vote by mail all of the time. The only trick is (at least here) is that the ballot needs to be received by election day, so I usually vote a week before the actual election, and then just throw out all of the materials that come in right before the big day.

Yes, I mailed it the beginning of last week. But now it seems plans are cancelled, so I could've gone after work after all. And I have nothing defrosted for dinner, so now I need to figure that out.

Morning peeps! Congrats to Illinois. I knew it wouldn't be long for them to follow suit. They were just waiting for Jersey.
I have to say that our Governor made a very touching speech last night. He truly does love our state, but he made that very evident during the after math of Sandy. Also, any man who can openly speak tenderly of his mother the way he did last night touches my heart. I'm a fool that way.
