Tomorrow we have a film festival. It's in the area where JCS was. An outside venue. We were told to bring beach chairs, drinks and snacks. I'm curious to see what this is all about. Hanging with some of my "church" peeps. Sunday having brunch with a friend in from the UK.

BTW I got home last night from my Vestry meeting and there was a brand new car in my driveway. It seems HC's car dealership made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Happy Friday.

I was supposed to have today off. But I don't.
Hope everyone taking vacation is enjoying it for those of use who can't.

I'm heading to CT tonight. The usual.
Sunday night, however, I'm looking forward to 54 Below and being in the audience as our fave RobbieJ performs.
Then it's back to Chicago.
And back to Chicago again.

I'm aiming for a day off in August. It's my goal!

Addy, you missed excellent weather this week. We took the farm boyfriend on a river cruise last night - he really enjoyed. Then AWFUL dinner at a pub under the L curve. Louder than an airplane! Mrs. Brd is OBSESSED with eating outside.

Cooler then normal but not complaining. I have only had AC on twice. Once really just to test it out and another time when the humidity was getting a bit much. Nice to be able to sleep with windows open, although the other night they were closed because it was too cold. This weekend is going to heat up a bit but the evenings will still be cool and enjoyable.

Got a whole bunch of nothing (other than errands, summer cleaning and working out) planned for this weekend.

I may do a bit of clothes shopping, but since I am not quite done, I keep putting it off.

Lovely here in SoCal today - cooled down a bit and lost some of the humidity.

Morning peeps! I always miss Hep! I hope everyone had a great weekend. They go too fast! The film festival was fun on Saturday. 49 one minute films from all over the world. Some were very funny. The peoples choice was an entry from Ireland. Very funny. Sunday brunch was perfect. I got in and out of the City without a stitch of traffic. I even found a parking spot on the street. The gods were with me.

Happy Monday. My weekend was capped off with the treat of seeing our beloved SonofRobbieJ perform at 54 Below. I was in grand company with PalJoey and Reginald. Wonderful night. A little late for a school night, but so worth it.

Addy that sounds marvelous! Robbie needs to do things when it's not a school night, so that we can all attend.

I was with the director and co-director of Macbeth the other night. They are trying to convince me to play Ross in their production. Even if they are setting this production in modern day Wall St., which is very intriguing, it's still not my cup of tea. Give me singing and dancing and I'm in.

Morning peeps! It seems my iPhone is dead! It worked this morning when before I left my house, but I got to PA and it won't turn on. I suspect it's the on/off switch. Not a good start to me day!

Poddie, my phone would not turn off yesterday! No matter what I did it would keep powering up, so I just left it on and charged it over night. This morning it powered down and now it's working fine. ???

One of my colleagues finally got it to work. It seems the power button is going. I'm hoping it lasts until September when hopefully the iPhone 6 will come out.

I had that problem with the CrapBerry I had for one miserable year. Not so with my iPhone. But then again, I replace it every two years when I renew the contract, which generally occurs two weeks before they announce/release a new one. Even if I wait an additional month or two before upgrading...

Morning. It's a multiple coffee morning after a couple of nights in a row of fun shenanigans.

My punishment: I have a 7am (Yes. 7am.) presentation next Tuesday morning in Chicago for 500-600 people.
Breakfast will be served at 6:30.
Seriously.

I can't wait for August.
