Mooney - I might critizice my girls, but their behavior outside the home is exemplary. I would die if I dropped my daughter at the subway and she did not make it to school. I dropped both off this morning at 6:15. C13 is visiting the school. She is nearly a full head taller than her sister who is 21 months older!

HA! I hope not.
She says that she hung out a library - such a good student, no? I think she had a paper due that she hadn't finished.
Four years ago we had a Sophomore who got out of her mother's car, entered the school building, then exited out the back door. She was missing for three very long, horrible weeks. She was evetually found to in Washington state, living in a mountain cabin with a 48 year old man she had met on the internet. When the FBI knocked on the cabin door, she introduced herself as his 'wife'. She was all of 15.
The memory of that awful event is still with us adults, although the students here now don't know about it. That's why my heart was pounding all afternoon yesterday. I kept thinking, "No, not again." Luckily, it was just a "day off in the library".

The answer to 'what' may come sooner, but you might have to wait the full nine months to find out 'who'.

Those male librarians have such a randy reputation. It's always the quiet ones, ya know...

Mooney, that is so creepy, was the man arrested and charged?
Every library has that one aisle that no one goes into unless...
Moony, that other story sounds familiar. Did it make the national news? I could be mixing it up with any numerous other stories out there, though.

Yeah, girlie, I recall a similar story like that, but it was from 1994. It was featured on 48 HRS. and this young teen (14, 15) ran away with a much older family friend (40s) and throughout the entire program, her family and police officials were trying to track down her whereabouts. They eventually located her, but she was deeply attached to this older man, saying she loved him and whatnot. She was unhappy to be back home and away from him.
Another thing I remember about the show is, the detective was named Charlie Brown. :-P

Males . . . libraries . . .

I don't know if it made the national news, but it was big news here and in the Seattle area (no, DD wasn't involved). The guy is serving a life sentence.
Kind of reminds me of BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S - that particular plot twist has always creeped me out.

Hmm, the best story I can think from our high school is that my classmate married one of the teachers and they now have 5 kids.

Moony - for your sake, I hope that an exception was made and history did, in fact, reapeat itself.

But he's not 30 years older than you.
Is he?
A classmate and odd acquaintance married her boyfriend on JENNY JONES senior year. Actually, he proposed to her wearing a bear mascot costume and they were married by a justice of the peace (along with several others) later in the show.

No, Deet - only 7. In dogs years, that's not much.
