I hear the costumer service is headed by William Ivey Long.
Morning dears!
YWIW - so glad you enjoyed the show!! *sigh* Adam *sigh*
Had a date on Saturday. It was ok but I kinda felt bad. Boy drove quite a ways to meet me and after food was like "So would you like to go somewhere else" and dumbass I am was like "Sorry, would love to but I gotta go walk my dogs". Oops. But in my defense, he was supposed to be doing other things in the area before the date to justify him driving here. Not my fault he didnt do them. That and he was staring at my boobs the whole date.
yay for tonight!
LOL! Nice!
Good mornin', my Peeps!

Crappy Monday!
Y, I am seeing Adam and Anthony at the end of the month.
Such a boring weekend, I need a new life!

Yea, I am feeling it also! Tired and CRABBY!
The show last night was as much a concert as a show. Lots of entrance applause, as certain refrains began, after songs ...
Angel even added Beyonce's "single ladies" dance move.
Not quite the mindblowing experience the first time I saw in NY (thanks to a vendor, about 10th row center), but a great show. From friends in the audience, it is in better shape on the tour than at certain points in its Broadway run.
Hollywood Blvd is always an interesting place to walk after hours back to one's car...

The last Rent I saw was the wretched and disgraceful non-union tour. One step below show choir! I am taking the kids and I noticed that C13 has a game, and will not get to go. She is the true fan. Stupid sports!
The first tour came around I think in 1999/2000, and I refused to see it, because I did not want anything compromising the amazing time (and memories) I had when I saw it in NY. I can still remember the opening number and my mouth just dropping open, because it was like nothing I had seen (I later described it as Hair for my generation. Many others had the same feeling).
But, Anthony was not in the night I saw it. I don't recall who the US was (but he had short black hair) and looked far more Jewish than Anthony.
Given the chance to see both Anthony and Adam, it was a no brainer.
Have a great time Brd!
I was actually quite proud of the audience when I saw it a few weeks ago. Esp being in Jersey I expected a lot more fan fare (which I despise during a show) but it was relatively polite and well mannered.
When word got out that Idina and Taye were there, there were a gaggle of fan girls trying to get to her ... what a fan girl mind meld. They had security blocking folks from lining up around her and Taye.
It was fun though, it was only here a week, so alas, no chance to see it again.
And, it was relatively affordable. Tickets were $62.50 for front Mezz on a group purchase.
Mary Poppins - that is $150 for Orchestra - yowza!

Y, I saw it first in 1997 in Chicag with Sean Earl as Angel, it was great! Manely Pope and Christian Anderson. Great cast!

Tink, you left out the most important detail of your date!
Was he hot?
haha he was decent. Not take my breath away but not ewww get away from me.
brd - manley was my roger the first time i saw it on broadway. I didnt know much about the show yet so to me at that moment Manley was the ultimate Roger. I remember getting the cast recording after the show and thinking ugh, this guy on here sucks, Manley is better! fast forward 6 or 7 years and well, I take back that statement! :)

I thought he was great, that tour was so different from the garbage that they put onstage in the 2000s.
I saw Jeremy Kushnier on Broadway and also as Tommy DiVito in Jersey Boys here, such a fine actor.
I'm not into the Rent hoopla, I admit.
But good afternoon!!
