DG - I just planted four boxes of baby ice plant around some bromiliads on my balcony. I absolutely love ice plant.
Just got back from lunch with a buddy in the sunshine and there are a kabillion people marching down Market street for the protest. We were both stunned at the amount of people involved!
We'll have to do that! It's not the same as the Netherlands, but they do have real windmills and a parade with clompen dancers in wooden shoes and Dutch costumes. I think it would be fun but I might have do some arm twisting to get "you know who" there...

Cheeze - your flower boxes sound wonderful!
And need I mention what happening in downtown LA?

Take his basketball and tell him he can have it back after you go.

I bet it's crazy in LA! I would think LA and maybe New York are the highest turnout of protestors, but I could be wrong. Judging from the crowd I just saw, I can't imagine LA.

They're not exactly sure what to expect later on. The march is occurring, and picking up people by the second. But there's a rally later in the afternoon, and it's very much just wait and see what happens.
Just a couple of weeks ago, a couple hundred students ended up getting the 110 closed downtown - so this has the potential to explode.
I am just praying that it doesn't turn violent. As you may imagine, there's some pretty strong opinions down here on the subject - and they don't necessarily see eye to eye.

I hear you D- Same thing here. Although I am really surprised by some of the opinions I am hearing here. Not quite "send em all back" but close.
Pip - Clompen dancing in the street? Sounds like a recipe for havoc to me...

Cheeze - I cease to be amazed - at anything
Do you think they'll be doing some Dutch version of that dance where the men hop and clap and slap themselves and each other a lot? I always liked that folk dancing . . .
LOL! DG, now I have this picture of cute blonde boys spanking each other...I guess I'll have to go find out!

Pip, shame on you - that never crossed my mind.
When I was growing up, our family would go to Bush Gardens in Williamsburg, and we took turns picking where to eat. I always wanted to go to the Festhaus, where they had an Oopah band and dancers demonstrating that very thing. Everyone was always curious why I ALWAYS wanted to go THERE.

Could it have been the leather shorts on the male dancers? lol.

Oh, the sound of all that slapping of leather - and all those healthy young blond boys leaping about.
I have an intense craving for bratwurst now.

Well, great! This should ruin THAT fantasy. All the other pics are either VERY mature, or really young. Like crib young. I tried...
More garden pictures, please.

This was too good to pass up!
I think we're getting our Dutch and our Germans mixed up...blonde or not...
That picture is adorable, cheeze.

Cheeze - the pics in my memory serve me just fine. And the memory of the perplexed look on my parents' faces at my sudden interest in foreign culture can still give me a chuckle
Aww, cheeze...what a cute little Jungen!

Sorry Pip - it's the whole shorts thing.
Addy - I love his chubby little knees!
And D - I was going to say something about a cunning linguist - but - I know you better than that.
