Remember this song? I've been singing it lately...
Good morning, yesterday
You wake up and time has slipped away
And suddenly it's hard to find
The memories you left behind
Remember, do you remember?
The laughter and the tears
The shadows of misty yesteryears
The good times and the bad you've seen
And all the others in between
Remember, do you remember
The times of your life?
Reach out for the joy and the sorrow
Put them away in your mind
The mem'ries are time that you borrow
To spend when you get to tomorrow
Here comes the saddest part
The seasons are passing one by one
So gather moments while you may
Collect the dreams you dream today
Remember, will you remember
The times of your life?
Gather moments while you may
Collect the dreams you dream today
Remember, will you remember
The times of your life?
Of your life
Of your life
Do you remember, baby
Do you remember the times of your life?
Love that song Addy.
*hugs my Moonie*
Goodmorning adults - Oldie but goodie here which is how I feel when I say that I have two grandchildren in high school next year! I will also be adding to the grandchild list in late July. That will be #7. Also watched tlitp last night. Loved it but am looking forward to watching it while relaxing as my husband was cleaning the carpet last night and did not want me doing anything but helping. I'm going to TIVO it when it is on here tonight. We get 3 different PBS channels. Busy day today as we are leaving tomorrow for a quick trip to Chicago for a wedding.

Thanks, boobs, I needed that hug. And that scone.
We're all classics on this thread! (Even if a couple of us aren't quite as 'classic' as others... we all appreciate what counts in life!)
Have a wonderful weekend in Chicago, addict!
Special hugs to Cookie today... who has a VERY special day planned! Meeting your best friend's new baby daughter is a day to remember! (In case he stops by when I'm not here I just want him to know I'm sending him lots of pink, loving thoughts!)
No Addy this is the other sister's son. The other nephew is actually older but will be a senior in high school this next year.
I remember when he was little...
Happy family times, Somms!
Sending lots of good wishes to Addy's dad!
I'm a wreck. As I was pulling into the parking deck, PLJ played the Father's Day edition of Butterfly Kisses. Schmaltzy song and it always gets me. Don't know why I just don't switch the station.

Thanks, girly!
And, that song kills me! I'm a soggy mess when I hear it!
Have a good day, Undi!
Time for me to go get ready...
Leaving a special *pink new baby kiss* for Cookie if he stops by!
Addy, are you seeing any shows with them? Have fun!

Addy, glad to know your dad is doing better and can come home soon. What a Father's Day "present."
And, lucky kids that get to spend time with Aunt Addy! :o)

This gave me a much needed giggle this morning:
According to a story on Yahoo news, Whole Foods will no longer sell live lobsters and crabs in their stores because it is inhumane.
"Ultimately, Whole Foods management decided to immediately stop selling live lobsters and soft-shell crabs, saying they could not ensure the creatures are treated with respect and compassion."
They do know we're not buying them to take home as pets, right?
I presume they will sell dead ones - that's more humane (?).
(If you're a member of PETA, don't bother PMing me. I know all your lines about shellfish in captivity)
Will they still be selling steaks and chickens?

Yes, because they're already dead. No danger of a child tapping on the glass and causing them stress (one of their concerns).
Harris might still have a problem with the steaks, though. I never make friends with my food.
We have this great steakhouse called Jackson's here in Lauderdale. They bring out a cart with all the different cuts of meat, chicken, lobster etc. and the waiter explains the difference in the cuts. But, the lobster is always alive, and the poor thing is just sitting there, staring at you, surrounded by raw meat. I feel so bad that I can never order lobster there.
I used to LOVE lobster..now I can't eat it anymore..I get deathly ill.
More for me!
My part-time job is working in a grocery store making money for trips and I get the shivers anytime someone comes through my line with a live lobster! I just don't know how anyone could cook something live. I know, I know, it doesn't make much sense because I do eat meat but they are already dead.
Addict, I'm the same way. Every summer, when I visit my family in NJ, they get a bunch of crabs and cook them. I can't be anywhere near the pots, but I sure can eat em' when they're done.

I think that's why God makes them so ugly - they're easier (for some of us) to cook.
One time my then-girlfriend and I bought live lobsters for cooking, and they were in the front seat with us on the way home, and I started calling them goofy names, and my g/f said "DON'T NAME THEM!!"
I guess that was where her line was drawn. Names gave them life and personalities.

Unless, of course, you name them after your worst nemesis. Gee, who would you name yours after, Rath?
