Of course it is DD, Darling - you're good at what you do!
thanks DG.
The challenge comes in not knowing whether they can actually do what I want them to.
This theater doesn't hold a dance call. Don't ask.
"This theater doesn't hold a dance call."
That sounds like a place I'll hitting up in the future for theater jobs.
come on over, soapguy. We're always short of men... we just cast the last two ensemble males... 3 weeks into rehearsal.
SG - you crack me up.

Okay - so Dorothy just opened the door "in color" to Oz, and I am still, at forty something, enthralled with this film. I can't for the life of me get over how incredible the film is considering it was made in 1939. Can you imagine what it was like to be viewing it in a theater in 1939? I am blown away by the thought of innocence of that year - and the impending war - and all. I guess that's one of the reasons July fourth is a tradition for TMC to screen the film. I had NO idea.
No, I can't imagine it. We have all watched it on TV since before we can remember - is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I don't think it's either good or bad - I just feel it's one of those things that because we view it so often we may take it for granted. There was a documentary on just before it - and that's when I realized that it was released a few months before WWII broke out. Maybe I am just having one of those moments. AND NO - I have not been drinking. lol.
hee!
I miss you, gorgeous.

I miss you sweetie. Have a great night, and a wonderful fourth. I love the avatar!
And DD - don't wear out your cha cha heels too fast! I can't believe you guys are still casting after three weeks of rehersal - we must trade combat stories of community theater someday. I bet we have some that match up quite beautifully!
DG gets the credit for the av - he posted it in another thread and I grabbed it!
rath, what was it like seeing the wizard of oz in theatres?
I don't really remember. I was hard of hearing by then anyway.
Cheeze... we MUST!!! I do have some stories to share...
i figured you would just sit closer to the screen, rath.
My grandchildren preferred sitting toward the back.
it's nice that the grandkids came back from college to see the film with you.
That's why I agreed to sit wherever they wanted.
that's why you are one of their two favorite grandmama's.
I'm the favorite living one.
