I've done DC for the 4th - quite the spectacle! Rostropovich used to drag the National Orchestra out for a free concert - do they still do that?

The NSO does indeed play for free - and it will be a hot one tomorrow - thank heavens I can stay cool at home until the fireworks start and then walk down to see them :)

It's so odd to me to think of MAME. My mother did her in a production in Colorado (she was BORN to play her!) with my brother as little Patrick when he was 12. So long ago.

I played Gregor, because no one else was willing to take the screaming queen route the director was looking for

I love the memory, because Mother got standing ovations every night from 1000 people - and everyone should have that experience once in their lives.

beacs, you'll be happy to know that Logan and Toby are thrilled to be back home with their dad. Logan, as usual, curled up next to me on the couch, put his head on my chest, and just stared up at me with those soulful eyes of his.

Boobs is looking good, too!
