I've been grazing since 4 pm - the first bbq they had lamb everything - it was hosted by a chef, so it was all handmade (sausage, skewers, etc.) It was SO good. Second - ate mostly salads. And just ate a yellowtail sashimi salad.

Morning all!

DG - lol, yeah I guess I'll keep him around! BTW - I absolutely love Dave & The American President. Throw in the remake of Sabrina with Harrison Ford and I am set for a day of movies!

D2 - Have a lovely time in Cali.

Shira - Have a lovely time with DGG.

YWIW - I will definitely take a pic. It wouldn't have been a ring I personally would have picked out, but once it was on my finger I was in love.

We are foolishly throwing a BBQ today which means Tink will be scrubbing and cleaning all morning and then cooking all afternoon, and then hopefully a few bottles of wine in by tonight!

Oh, pish-posh, Shira. Having the priveledge of watching you start as the unsure teenager, then blossom into the wonderful woman you are now, is one of the greatest joys I've ever had.

Ahhhh - my place is finally mine again!

They were actually pretty good houseguests. It was just a bit insane with my other sister came over for a few hours to swim and escape my mom.

I once owned a house (and lived there with) with a guy my friends couldn't stand. So they made me Samantha and him Darren and then they all assumed different characters from "Bewitched" whose sole purpose in life was to get rid of "Darren." For example. my friend Debbie was Uncle Arthur while my friend David was Aunt Clara. My gorgeous mother was Endora (of course), and my current husband (who was simply a "friend" back then) was Dr. Bombay. (Two reasons for that: (1) CBC travels with a homeopathic remedy kit and (2) If you substitute his last name for "Bombay," it works perfectly!)

I have an old Bewitched t-shirt and Bewitched salt and pepper shakers. (I'm not kidding.) I also have friends who still call me "Sammy" whenever they see me. (Oh yeah. And they call my kids "Tabitha" and "Adam.")

Everyone liked Darren I better than Darren II, didn't they? He was just so neurotic and out-of-sorts all the time. Dick Sargeant seemed like the kind of guy nothing would ever bother. He was like the Tom Brokaw of sitcoms!

DG, I have an important question for you: How many minutes each night do you sleep? I say, 17, tops. I'm pretty sure I'm going to win the pool.

Hehe - I tend to sleep whenever I feel like it - and almost never for very long in a row! Right now it's also being impacted by the VERY early live coverage of Wimbledon

That's soooo adorable, Miss Pennywise. All of this Bewitched talk definitely makes me want to watch it again. It's been a long time, but there's a reason why I always LOVED Nick at Nite on Nickelodean! Bewitched was one of the main reasons.
