So I just got back from the gym, while I was getting dressed there was a fat naked guy sitting near me on his cell phone.

Almost 5pm, which means almost time to drink. Although I feel icky and SHOULDN't drink (yes I just typed that - shocking i know).

I'm going shopping for a new winter coat (take advantage of the major sales) and then out to dinner for Champagne and CHEESE!

Strangely enough I'm here to say hello (to DD) and good bye (to D2). Long day here.
We have our big Winter Ball tomorrow night and I'm helping the girls decorate the auditorium. The theme is "Northern Lights" and they've plugged in so many little white lights that we've blown fuses twice akready. I thnk they should change the theme to "Dancing in the Dark" and call it quits.
Keeping a nervous eye on the weather forecast - we also have high school placement testing here tomorrow morning and they're calling for snow, beginning at 3:00am. Lovely. all I can say is that the train tracks northward better be cleared off by 8:20 Sunday morning.

Posted: 1/9/09 at 9:43pmvery funny, shameys dear, but no it was avoided this week. I was at a bar drinking hot tea....everyone was like ok now we KNOW Tink isn't feeling well. I think that is the first time in a year I wasn't the one drinking! A precedent I tell ya!

Good Morning adults! Lots of snow here. C13 has her high school test this morning! She is rather nervous. We have to run a fund raiser tonight. Argh! I am just not in the mood. Oh well.

It is beautiful here in LA. A little wind last night, so the sky is a nice blue, and it is warming up!

YWIW - you got 'a little wind', and we were blown to smithereens! It got up to 75mph last night - and half of our gutters are hanging from the eaves 
It still hasn't dies completely down.
But it IS clear!

We seriously had very little wind. Right now the trees are completely still.

We're still dealing with changing his mom's living situation, so that's put a kabosh on anything else for the moment.
We live just to the west of where the 15 heads through the mountain range going up to Vegas. So, when the Santa Anas kick up, it gets funneled through that corridor and we get knocked flat. It's not common, but we have registered up to 100mph here!
