Don't know how many of you will remember this song..but as a wee child my all time favorite song that I played over and over until someone smashed it was ..."Blame It On The Boss Nova" by Edie Goyme.
This thread is totally addictive - I'm still in the office - and could have left 20 minutes ago, but new 'memories' keep popping into my head!!!

I remember it.
What about that damned Italian puppet, Topo Gigo, who used to appear on Ed Sullivan?
He irritated the hell out of me...
I remember that (Bossa Nova)...and enjoyed the referece to it in the movie "Down with Love" -
How about the drunk on the Jackie Gleason Show who would sing a beautiful song. What a voice he had !!!

I wonder if younger posters are lurking in now and then
and feeling like they've stumbled into a timewarp...
Speaking of TimeWarp...I saw RHPS in the movie theatre in college when it first came out. Went to a seminar beforehand to learn the lines to yell back at the screen...
And, do you remember the Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie with the BeeGees and, was it, Peter Frampton????

Topo Gigo...
I remember hoping each week that he'd be on! "Oh, Eddie..."
What about Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Greenjeans and Bunny Rabbit, and Dancing Bear...Mr. Moose
I was trying to describe the show to a young mom the other day. She acted like I'd lost my mind.

My Aunt was one of the 'teachers' on Romper Room in the Washington, DC area. (They had a couple of different local feeds - did you know that??)
C'mon Jose...Romper Room.."See me walk so straight and tall, I won't let my basket fall, eyes ahead, don't look down, keep that basket off the ground." I had that plastic basket !!!
