...just noticed the thread title has changed...
Dame,
that was a good computer.
I was late to the home computer game - I tried to avoid being plugged in at home (on so much at work)...but...as you can tell from this addiction, I was unable to resist. Dell...
Just changed the title back to its original.
...thanks, Dame.
Somehow, it just didn't seem right to mess with the original... All hail to Robbie for this thread, but the smoking room it must remain!
Absolutely; Off to Sunday brunch. Mimosas await
Cheers!
Have one for me DAME!. I enjoyed a chocolate martini during lunch (Very unlike me to drink before 5:00),but as the song goes, "It's 5:00 somewhere!"
Getting ready for our vacation.. Niagra Falla and Toronto.
hey mom -
Just got back from Williamstown. Was thinking of you while I was there.
Niagra and Toronto - sounds like a great trip! I haven't been to Toronto in YEARS. My high school chorus did an 'exchange' trip with a chorus in Toronto - and I loved my visit. I always meant to go back...maybe one of these days I will. I remained 'pen pals' with the girl who I was 'paired' with for many, many years. I should try to look her up. That would be a blast from the past!
Jesooooos! This is the Seinfeld of threads. It's about absolutely nothing, but shows no signs of slowing down.
ah, but you miss the point...
It's about everything. And anything. For grown-ups, and those who want to share our stories.
Thanks NY!! We almost went up there as well, but parental duties called and did back to school stuff. I have nevere been to Toronto so I am really looking forward to it. Last time I was at Niagra Falls was 17 years ago for Dave's brothers wedding so seeing the Falls again is going to be great. The Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds so much fun (and wet to boot!) We are also thinking of seeing some shows as well. Anyone know what else is playing besides Mamma Mia and Hairspray?
I don't know what else is playing - does Ticketmaster have listings?
I always loved back to school shopping when I was a kid. New shoes. New clothes. New supplies. I had my 'first day of school' outfit picked out weeks in advance - and usually forgot about the fact that the first day of school was late August or early September, and my new school clothes were usually meant for the winter...so I would sweat to death in my new dress... Every year mom would try to tell me to wait until the weather was colder to wear my new clothes...to no avail!
Grown-ups?
If I ever refer to myself as a "grown-up" I'll know it's time to shoot myself.
feel free...
In the meantime, hope you're enjoying our stories.
Well at the moment Erin is in the middle of yet another growth spurt. So we are getting a lot of shirts and sweaters, and saving pants and skirts till the last second.
We are also checking out what else is playing up there, Erin wants to save Hairspray for her "Sweet 16" trip to NYC.
Hmmmmm. I don't even know you and you're being snarky with me? Not cool.
Zola, not being 'snarky' - was simply replying to you that you can feel any way you wish about being a 'grown-up...
mom, are you planning a family trip to NYC for "Hairspray"??
It must be very difficult going through life with that obnoxious superior attitude, NYadgal. I hope to God that you don't have any children to demonize...
You clearly mis-read what I wrote.
Your comments are hateful.
I won't respond further.

I didn't know this was your personal thread, Miss Condie Sension. Jeez, read through it and you fill up about half of all its 115 pages.
Mom..you should check with Torontoboy about what's going on around there now. Hopefully he'll be back tomorrow posting. Maybe you can even meet up with some of our Canadian friends.
Mom, Toronto is a great town. One warning don't take the pull cart taxi's. Long story but my daughters and I went there and thought we were cool riding in them to the theater and then we ended up owing them a couple hundred dollars which we didn't have because we didn't know it was per block per person (small print) We gave the poor guy all we had and basically left the area hoping to never see them again. I do know that Urinetown is in Toronto and it is a great show and hilariously funny if you haven't already seen it. I liked it better than The Producers. Have a great time!

The Producers is in Toronto right now. I think there's a thread on the Main Topic board about shows in Toronto. You might do a quick search because I think its fairly recent (last week or so...)
Will you be checking out the new US-side Casino while you're at the Falls???? There's one on the Canadian side, too!

Is this a family trip or just you & hubby?
Casa Loma is great, the Ontario Science Center is amazing, the
Expo is mind-boggling...
The Zoo is great, too.
Plus, the exchange rate is in "our" favor. :o)
