So much to celebrate tonight!
AAARRRGGGGHHHH - I can't get motivated to finish it!
I'm still at the office - it's going to start to pour, and I'm going to be stuck here....
John has dinner waiting for me at home, and I can't pry myself away from all of you.
HELP!
Wouldn't that be so cool BB?
I also liked "The 5 people You Meet.." My favorite summer read
is a book called "Mountain Summers" a non fiction, told through a series of letters from women hikers in the years 1878-1886.
Way tough ladies (and I do mean ladies! they would want nice accomadations and tea after tackeling a 6,000 ft mountain!)
But I think we will hit 200 before Lizzie (her given nick name) will grace us with her preasence!
Will we get assignments? Like read chapter 1 by tomorrow? I've never belonged to a book club before this can be fun.

NYadgal - A very good friend of mine has recommended Chase to me, but I haven't gotten to her work yet. So far my favorite is Edward Rutherford - especially "Sarum."
Boobs - Hello Did you have a good weekend?
And our champagne is already chilled and waiting here - we have to celebrate surviving the first day back with the kids at school! And in Kindergarten, the first day for the teachers can be VERY nervewracking!
OK I love book clubs and I missed what one are we reading?
DG I had a fun weekend with the boys. They keep us going.
Had was your last weekend of the summer. Did you guys have fun?
I love book clubs, too. I was in one for a while, but the gals were too easily sidetracked, so I didn't stay in it.
I'd seriously love to figure out a way to have a book club with all of you! I think we'd have some stimulating and thoughtful discussions.
Hi everyone! Just checking in real quick. I'm trying not to spend my whole vacation on the computer, but had to check in.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Congrats, Mom! Can't wait for all the details.

What do you suggest?
Hey bdwaygirl..hope you're enjoying your vacation so far. Will you like to be part of a book club too?
Oooh yes Sarum is an AWESOME read. Another mominator
recommended read!
DG - Anya Seton Chase used to live in my hometown, and was a close friend of my father's. I adore all of her books - and highly recommend them!
As much as I love to read, I just cannot ever find the time to do so. I'd probably make the attempt, though.

I think it's a pretty simple thing to arrange. Pick a book, set a date to begin a discussion thread (I like the idea of "BOOK - title" - you could still search BOOK and have it come up) and we're off!
boobs - are the boys back in school?
DG - awwww - I LOVED the first day of school. Both as a student and as a teacher. So full of promise!
DGrant - it's a plan!
Now - what book?

I would vote for I, Lucifer - if Boobs doesn't mind. Nina said it sounded interesting as well - and I bet she might be interested in this, too
That works for me.
boobs has a headstart - so he can be the discussion leader.
