morning, Somms!
LOL DG! As much as I love a delicious dream...I don't need too many hours of sleep. Just enough to refresh.
Ok, 3rd cup of coffee...I'm going to be typing like a maniac in a little while.

I love getting up on a Sunday morning before everyone else. Start my Sunday sauce (gravy in my house..once the meat is added), make a cup of coffee, put on some soothing music (piano or cello) and just breathe and enjoy the morning.

Ooooh that sounds so relaxing BB. I use to know how to relax,
maybe now that school is starting up again I can.

Boobs, we are much alike. I also get up early and put on the pot of coffee, turn on the soothing music, sit on the screened porch listening to and watching the birds while reading the Sunday paper. No sauce though, I'm French. Ours doesn't have to simmer all day.

SOMMS... isn't it just the Best !!! We all need quiet time for ourselves. The days I can do this, I just feel so much better the rest of the day.

...I'm laughing - when I first read 'Start my Sunday sauce'...I thought you were talking about drinking. My first reaction was Yikes! That's some way to start the morning.
Then I read further.
Saturday is my morning. (Sunday is church). The whole stretch of weekend before me...I adore it.

NYadgal - I've decided it would be better for my health - and the general welfare of the people I come in contact with during my day - if I just let them have their little party by themselves.
I start pretty much every day that way. My life's experiences have led me to a very distinct choice of what matters the most to me, and peacefulness is at the top of the list!
and Boobs, bullfighting isn't really a discussable issue for me - I get a little crazy when I think about it.

DG - understood!
I thought about watching Moonstruck last night - after the wonderful thread about it - but I had WAY too much to do, and wanted to spend some time talking with John (imagine?!), so decided the movie could wait. Maybe this weekend...

Great new icon BB. Sadly I have never seen Barbarella all the way through.

I have no idea what she's been doing lately, but I'm certain she'd enjoy the 'exposure' you're giving her now!

She's got a new film in the can. I think it's a holiday release. I forget the details, but I know that she plays somebody's mother and is a bee-atch.

Actually, her new film Monster-in-Law is in post-production. I'm VERY excited to see her return to acting - she was always one of my favorites! Julia . . . her and Vanessa together, what a treat!

I'm flooding with great Fonda memories! The China Syndrome woke me up to what it was like to have adult concerns in the real world.
