Yeah you're probably right. During rehearsals at high school I used to take my pants off and just walk around in my undies....I'm tres bizarre :/
If I were walking down the dorm room in my undies, the bathroom wouldn't be the objective.

Good evening, everyone.
I'm just sitting here waiting for my meatloaf to finish baking so I can hit a very late movie...
It's been a semi-productive day and I made dinner that should last me a few meals: broccoli, buttered noodles, and meatloaf with Krusteaz Fat Free Brownies for dessert.
And, the laundry's done, the apartment is clean. The dishwasher is empty and the garbage is out.
I feel like celebrating... isn't that pathetic! LOL!

Regarding bridesmaid dresses I have a few...
I actually have one that truly was reuseable as a holiday party dress. The bride was really great and selected a pattern that was tea length in a satiny material with a subtle swirl in it.
A simple string of pearls looks great with it.
No chiffon, no taffeta, no flouces or anything. Just a nice dressy dress. She didn't wanted it to look bridesmaidy since she had some monstrosities in her own closet and new the "pain."
And, we didn't have to dye shoes. We just wore black pumps.
It's a darker rose and really quite lovely. It looked nice on all the attendants, too which is always a factor.
Now if ALL brides could be like that. :o)

No one home but me on a Saturday night.
Movie plans just fell through... :o(
And, recipe question: Does anyone have a good casserole idea of a potluck I need to attend on Wednesday night? Something cheap and easy that I can throw together the night before.
*toast the group with her glass of lemonade*
Come out and play if you can!

Poor Beacon, staring all aone into the adult void - I don't want to analyze that statement TOO much
I'll catch up with everyone later!
Beacon - sorry I missed you last night...
I'm in Hugh bliss and countdown mode...I think I can't wait for tomorrow so I can get my 'life' back! It's all been amazing.
Anybody going to Broadway on Broadway today? (I can't...)
Hope to catch up with you all later...
Hey, boobs - Do you want to tell them, or should I?
John had to fly to Europe this morning, so guess who's joining me for the final Boy From Oz performance today?...
All I can say is Boobs is a brave man!
Broadway Legend Joined: 12/31/69
WOW! Have fun BOTH of you! I'm sorry John can't see it, but this is great for us adults who are living vicariously - now we'll get TWO perspectives!
I think John was actually relieved he didn't have to witness my passion and then depression when the show ended...lol!
I'm thrilled Boobs can join - it's an event that should be shared by people who adore theatre, Peter Allen and don't mind a few hours in the dark with Hugh...
On another note, I just read Fred Ebb died. So sad.
...I promise to post all as soon as I can. See you later!

Hmmm - hadn't seen that about Mr. Ebb - that's a bit of a loss! Only 71 - not exactly 'young', but definitely not old - very sad.
edit: the info I found said he was born in '33, but the article said '32 - so he's either 71 or 72 - either way, still pretty young

Hey guys,
Busy days.
I love taking my doggie (he's a pug, 7 months old) to the dog parks; he loves them! Goes nuts for other dogs, especially other pugs.
I had to work today so I missed Broadway on Broadway but I did get to hear someone singing mic check. Not sure who it was but I thought it might be Brooklyn since it sounded kind of popish and was just a snippet of a line that I didn't recognize.
So, BOOOOOOBS, I know you have to be thinking about the next adult night out...we need to have one soon!

Won't you guys all be going to Standing Ovations 2???? Especially to support our own "Eddie Varley"...You can bring him a pitcher of "Goofy Grape!"

I'm going to let Boobs fill you in on all the details - but I have two words: Matt Damon.
DG - Love your little rhyme
Undi - I wish I'd known you were coming to the city - we could have met for a drink after the show! (Boobs and I went for a drink, and Bobby met us, too.)
Bwaysinger - I think Boobs should definitely plan another Adult night out. I don't want to miss this one!
Beacon - I am so disappointed I can't go to Standing Ovations, but I'm in a wedding and have to wear an orange bridesmaid dress that day. Can you say UGH?!
So - seriously - it was a great day and the show was amazing and Hugh Jackman was NEVER better and we took lots of pictures and I promise to share all details...and, I loved being able to share it all with Boobs!
And now I have to go collapse.
oh, I need to look at the SO date again so I can get off work.
And plan my own stage-stealing moment where I push Eddie Varley down the stairs and sing in his place.
Oh, I'd never do that to Eddie. I'll do it to Emily Skinner (ducks from Daisy Hilton).
By the way - there's a pretty good review of the Boy From Oz performance on the main message board.
Not that I don't want to share all, but it's a good overview for those of you who want info NOW!

OK, so you two are excused from posting RIGHT away, as I'm sure it was overwhelming. HOWEVER, there will be NO excuse if we don't get your personal impressions come the morning
I'm particularly interested in how 'Once Before I Go' went - performance wise AND audience reaction.
By the way, when was the last time we saw Nina around these parts?
Where to begin...where to begin? First of all, yesterday I felt like the luckiest guy to be invited to the final performance of The Boy from Oz, by one of the sweetest, most beautiful woman I have met in a long time. Nyadgal is just an amazing person. Her eyes sparkle and her smile can brighten up any room. We had a wonderful bruch at 44 & X and then strolled around the theatre district with time to kill. Undi...sorry you didn't see us, that would have been excellent in front of hundreds of people and you screaming BOOBS !!! Anyway...we're getting on line and who crosses us, but June Lockhart (Lassie, Lost In Space). Now we're standing on line and who does NYadgal see passing by us, but none other than Barbara Walters. Of course we're all standing in the sun while they're allowed to go in...huh..don't they know who we are??? Finally the line starts moving and I see a guy out of the corner of my eye ready to cut in front of us and who is it ??? Matt Damon. Nyadgal luckily had her camera out and snapped a picture right away. She thinks she got his ear. LOL. Some lady in front of us actually grabbed him by his shoulders and yelled in his face MATT DAMON !!! He smiled and walked inside with his girlfriend. Do you think this lady thought he didn't know his name??? People can be so rude !!! Anywho, we made it inside and just looked around and spotted Carol Bayer Sager and of course Hugh's wife. We saw Joel Grey walk in and try to find his sit, I guess he's not used to being an audience member. Fans were like going up to poor Matt Damon's row and just snapping pictures of him. He seemed gracious from what we could see. Now the show...was tremendous. Hugh was so on...it seemed he was having the BEST time of his life up there. At one point when him and Judy are sitting at a table and she's supposed to start singing she must had gotten something in her throat and so Hugh had to call the bartender over for another drink for her..it was hysterical !!! It took some laughs (audience and actors) before she finally could start. After intermission when Hugh calls an audience member on stage to give a lap dance to, he called up Barbara Walters. He then proceeds to tell her he has a surprise for her and that the surprise doesn't even know it yet. He then calls up Matt Damon to do the lap dance with him. It was just the funniest thing. Hugh on one side and Matt on the other side of Barbara and the 2 of them bumping and grinding...just close your eyes for a second and imagine it...Hugh and Matt...ahhhhhhh. Where was I??? Oh yea..so Hugh sends Barbara back to her sit and tells Matt to have a sit now in the chair on the stage. He then proceeds to call all the chrous girls out onto the stage(they were all standing in the wings to get a glimpse of Matt). While Hugh sits on Matt's lap and starts grinding, the girls surround Matt and are bumping and grinding too. The girls were hysterical because they came out with their hairnets, robes, and slippers on. Matt was such a good sport. And of course DG..."Once Before I Go" brought the house down !!! I think almost ever line of that song got screams from the audience....like..."It's so hard to say goodbye" and "I would do it all again". What a way to end a show...on a high note.
After the show, NYadgal and me walked over to a bar for a farewell drink and I called Bobby, that handsome devil, and he joined us too. It was a WONDERFUL day spent with Old and New Friends.
Bye Hugh
BB I am so jealous, but not really Anna and the baby came home from the hospital yesterday.

mom - Yay! Glad everyone is 'where they should be.'
Boobs - glad he got the royal treatment - I really think he deserved it! I'm also glad that the love was spread around for the rest of the cast. Don't tell anyone, but I thought the two women (Stephanie and Isabel) were dynamite.
Have you checked out the counter? We are going to hit 6,000 replies today!
Awwww, boobs - you are too kind!
LOVE the picture. I'm taking my film to be developed this morning (still not in the ditigal age...)
I have lots to add - but it will have to wait until after my Monday morning meeting.
Can I just say that I felt like I was spending the day with an old, dear friend - not someone I was meeting (in person) for the first time. Boobs - your laughter and friendship was just what this girl needed yesterday. Thanks!
