Ah, this is one of those days when DC shines - clear sky, no humidity. Other than all the Republicans, it is picture perfect.

"I enjoyed running into amasis last night, who lives in Indonasia."

I got a mention in the 'adult' thread!!!!
Well, I'm sure you figured that there are lots of lurkers in this thread, and I have to admit I'm one of them. But since you mentioned the chat, I just wanted to say I enjoyed running into you last night, as well. And to everyone else, Happy Friday!
Oh, and about "chatting with the kids last night", DGrant -- a little story: when i was still in high school in MN, I was having coffee with my host-father and one of his friends; my host-dad was telling his friend about this 30-something guy he had interviewed, whom he kept referring to as 'the kid'. And in the middle of the conversation he stopped, was silent for a moment, turned to me and said: "You know you're getting OLD when you start referring to 30-year-olds as 'kids'!!"
*runs out as quickly as possible*
(edit: I know people have moved on, but I had to go back and correct the spelling of the country. Just had to. IndonEsia. Now I'll sleep better tonight

Now you know why I enjoyed running into amasis
Besides that, she quotes Bertrand, my favorite philosopher!

Good morning Bobby- tricks would be much better if I were out playing with the other kids rather than locked in my cubicle! Aw, but the weekend is just hours away, so I shouldn't complain.

Hi Bobby - great to see you again!
DG - I liked the dampness comment a few posts back...
Boobs - Have fun at the wedding. I'll PM you if I hear anything. (I guess he meant Friday morning HIS time, not mine...) Cheeky bugger!
Gotta go try on bridesmaid dresses at lunch. Does this hell ever end??? One would think, at my age, I would be exempt from such nonsense, but NO. I have been a bridesmaid 16 times. This will be 17. I 'retired' at 15, but somehow two friends were able to talk me out of retirement. I think it may actually be the reason I've never agreed to marry anyone...I'm happy to forgo the silk and lace!

Hey Bobby - no big plans this weekend, which is a wonderful gift as far as i'm concerned. The contractors have finally hooked up the washer and dryer in the partially finished basement reconstruction. I guess I may shop for the wine refrigerator and a flat screen TV. Hey, it's only money, right?! Other than that, not much.
I'm glad I'm not out buying a bridesmaid dress, that's for sure! So, adgal, what does one do with 16 old bridesmaid dresses?

I keep threatening all my friends that if I ever DO get married I'm making them all wear the dresses I had to wear!
My 12-year old niece used to think I had the best dress-up collection!!
