Thank you Rath. Yes, it is fast, he only had one month after diagnosis. NYadgal: The attack happened only one month after I moved here from Baltimore. I never had a single incident there even though I lived in a less that desirable neighborhood. It was an isolated incident. The attackers were not from the immediate area. New Hope is in fact a very safe, gay-friendly, close knit community.
Where's my Boobs? Morning to you, darling!!
Well for heavens sake!! Im gone one day and look at all thats happened!! Hello kids....hows tricks!?
SOMMS, Im sorry to hear about your friend. I lost a very dear friend to Liver Cancer as well. 3 days before I moved to NYC. She is always with me tho!
Somms - I love New Hope, but will be saddened the next time I am there remembering your story.
We must all remember to count our blessings every single day.
Absolutely, NYadgal.
Sorry to change the subject but, I'm looking for some feedback on the website I'm developing. If anyone has the time to check it out and give their thoughts it would be helpful. I've been asked to donate one of my paintings for an upcoming HRC auction and want to have the site published by then.
It's not published yet and certainly not finished. Before I put anymore work into it and get it to the final stages, I'm sending the link out to poeple who can give constructive feedback on the ease of navigation, whether or not the text makes sense, images load quick enough, etc. This is a test of it so, if anyone has a few spare minutes to check it out and send me feedback on what could be improved, that would be great. Some of the work has no accompanying text yet and there is no pricing or purchasing info yet so, I'm aware that that needs to be included. I'm not attempting to sell anything yet, just get feedback on what it's like to use and navigate. This is a group that I know will give honest helpful info.

Morning Rath. darling. I'm just trying to get through the morning madness here. Sorry to hear about your Dad too.
Morning Bobbylou.
Let me be the first to say that all of you are one of my greatest blessings. Thank you for sharing your life experience, your memories, your wit and your huge hearts with me and all of us here. You brighten my day.
Now if we could get all this kindness to happen in person, that would be something!
Orion - just went for a quick test - it's very easily understandable and simple to navigate. The pages load very quickly.
Thanks Boobs - unfortunately now your only parent-in-law is my lunatic mother...
Good Morning Boobs, DGrant, NYadgirl, SOMMS, Orion!
Nice to see there's a thread on this board where people "talk" to each other instead of at each other.
Hope everyone has a great day!
SOMMS - sorry about your friend. condolences to you.
- Marquise
EDIT: Didn't mean to leave you out Rath!

SOMMS just wait until SO2.
Bobby what about October 9th???? SOMMS are you going to be able to make it??? It's the night before SO2.
Awww, thanks, Marquise, and a good morning to you!
Orion - I'll be happy to go take a look.
I'm not getting together with anyone for a while! Unless I can wear a bag over my head!
October 9th will probably be fine with me. As of yet, Im not shooting any moveies, commercials, or starring in any Broadway show that I know of!
I am counting the days to Standing O! I'm hoping to convince my new guy (yeah!) that a NY weekend is in order, so the 9th might just happen.
Morning Marquise..glad you're joining us here. It's always nice to see you.
Orion: Your site is fabulous! What a talent! I am actually laughing (the snorting kind!) at the moment after seeing "Entertaining a Sailor". It turns out that O lives in the town that my mother grew up in -- actually just down the street. She met my father (who was in the Navy) while he was on shore leave. She was a USO hostess. The thought of my parents "entertaining" each other has me in stitches.
Hi Marquise!
This is the best thread on the board! (in my humble opinion...)
Orion..first of you...you are one handsome man !!!! Having a Fine Arts background I truly appreciate your work. You truly are a gifted artist. I would love to own one of you pieces someday, nothing nicer than to have a great piece of art hanging in your home and knowing the artist personally.
Searching through the web site was a breeze, which is a big plus. Everything is self explanatory. The only thing I noticed were some spelling mistakes. I noticed in Gallery 1 they misspelled Samson. Gallery 6 there are a couple of spelling errors. Other than that, I think it looks marvelous.
Orion - congratulations on a great site, and great work!
It is very clear and easy to navigate, and provides interesting information. (I didn't check for spelling errors...good eyes, boobs!)
Best of luck to you with it!
'morning all -- boy, this has been an eventful 24 hours -- after chatting last night, I got a phone call that one of our stores in Southern California was held up at closing -- on of our employees was pistol whipped...I spent much of the night talking with her husband -- she is OK, but it was a fright for her and others working....enough of this violence and pain already!
Adgal -- sorry you are a little "achy" this morning -- more dolls -- and SOMMS -- the most heartfelt sympathy on your loss...
O -- I check out the website in a few...

Orion - Very nice site. The navigation was easy and straightforward - and people like me appreciate that
The content could use a little light editing (spelling, repetition) but it seemed you haven't reached that final 'clean-up' stage yet. On your Title page (or whatever it's called on a web site - main page, I guess) I would capitalize the reference to you as an 'outsider artist.' I assume that's in reference to the gallery - without the capitalization, it reads like you're an artist on the outside. Then again, maybe that's what you're going for
Also, I really do like your work. I LOVE a vibrant palette! It's difficult to get a real impression, obviously, from on-line images, but the work comes across as bold and assurred. I'd be interested to see how much paint you're actually getting onto your surface - it seems rich and thick, like Vincent's stuff. The Catholic influence makes me uneasily intrigued, but I assume that's your goal.
My goodness what a busy morning! I have so much to catch up on here!! I wish these foolish work folks realized that I have other interests besides their petty problems! I'll shoo them away and get to reading. Anyway, even though it is 11am here, I'm sending a good morning wish to all!
Orion - I sent you a pm with a few little thoughts about the web site - I'm wild about the art!
Hey Orion...I forgot to mention that if I had to pick one...which is always tough for me to do with an artist's works, but I would pick.."Under the El". Love the compostion.
