OK. who remembers....
ROME ADVENTURE

"Al Di La"
Bboobs - that's a new topic! Braces!!
My dentist did the same thing - he used to tell me that the novacain would hurt more than the drilling. I can now tell him he was WRONG!
Who had braces? I had them for 2 years - and then a retainer. Which I still have, although it doesn't fit anymore. I used to be really good with the rubber bands - getting them on and off with just my tongue. A valuable talent...
Love the song "Al Di La"
I had a Pebbles doll and a Thumbelina doll, and this weird stuffed animal that I called Hanky Panky. The guy that gave it to me was on the force with my dad and I named it after him. My brother threw out my box of dolls, which included all my Barbies, and their clothes when we were cleaning our parents house out. He says accidentally. Mind you, he still has his trains. I really think, deep down, I've never forgiven him for that or gotten over it.
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
Puppies are babies in fur coats.
Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
I remember that, Jose.
Gee, the party is clearing out early tonight...guess we all stayed up too late last night...
Never had braces, but a friend of mine in HS when she got hers off she worn them on a chain around her neck.
I've never heard of anyone doing that, boobs... interesting...
Any of you ever been pre-engaged??? You know got a "friendship" ring from a guy in HS?

yep.
I got my boyfriends ring in high school, so we were going steady.
In college my next boyfriend and I got Pinned (very traditional).
After college my next boyfriend and I got engaged. For real.
(then I caught him with someone named Dixie - and that was the end of that!)
And now I've just been happily enjoying the relationship I've been in for 15 years, without any jewelry!!
When I was in HS and was dating this girl..she took a ring I got for Confirmation and told everyone that we were pre-engaged...I let her have her fun. We're still great friends.
How about those combs that looked like switch blades?
I still keep in touch with all of my old 'beaus' - even the guy I was engaged to.
Things work out...
They were very 'West Side Story'...those combs!
I remember pony-tail 'holders' that were rectangles of leather that you would put a 'stick' through.
Everytime I used mine I would hum the Prologue from "West Side Story" LOL...actually that was the 1st musical I was ever in when I was a Frshman in HS...I played Baby John.
I was in WSS in high school, too.
My first musical was South Pacific...I was Nellie. Very exciting!
NYadgal my sister had those hair things too. Also those big fat twisted yarn things to tie a pony tail with.
yep - I had lots of 'equipment' like that to tame my hair...
Did you have a Puka Shell necklace?
Yes! I had an ankle bracelet, too.
...it looked particularly fetching with a really bad shag haircut I decided to get...
I had a terry cloth shirt with dice on it...I thought I was so cool wearing that on the boardwalk at the Jersey shore.
that's a good visual!
I had a couple of bandana 'halter tops' that I look back on and shudder when I think of wearing them. But at the time...
I loved women in Halter tops...my Mom even had a dress that was had the top like that.
