Bboobs - after you told me about her last night, I looked her up on the google. And rented 50 First Dates, again.
I loved "Life" - and loved filling my car with lots of kids. My best friend, John, always used to try to put two blue pegs in his car, too. He and his partner just got married in Massachusetts, so I guess it worked out for him!

Ah, Tinseltown. My partner grew up in Southern California - went to the opening day of Disneyland and everything - it's been fun learning about life here in the 50's and 60's - pretty different from 'back east.'
We used to joke that they there should be Twister bed sheets. Turns out someone actually marketed the idea. Saw them at Urban Outfitters.
Back to the thread...I hated that medicine ball..it always knocked the wind out of me...maybe it had to do with the strongest boy throwing it at me..LOL.
How about girls basketball when girls could only play half court because they were too weak to play full court and the only sports for girls was to be cheerleader so I was a cheerleader. I wasn't very good at basketball anyway.
My boyfriend (we've been together for 15 years) lives in LA.
He moved there for work, and I wanted to stay in NY. So now we're "bi-coastal"...
We both travel all the time for work, so we do the best we can

No sports for me in school (I played competitive tennis and swam - but never in a school situation) - I was a complete theatre/brain 'stud' - haha.

DGrant - I was more of a "life sports" person, too. (Swimming, skiing, tennis), but I did play Field Hockey for a few years.
I was totally a theatre/music "jock" (as we used to call ourselves)...that was my group!

I had one of those grey and white 'sock' monkeys with the big red lips.
ohmigosh - yes, I had that monkey!
My sister had a Chatty Cathy..I gave her a hair cut...she was never the same.
I had a bunch of school mascots from those awful school magazine drives...I never sold enough to get the good prizes, so had a bunch of stuffed animals. I hated those school sales drives!
Selling Girl Scout cookies was one thing, but the school drives were the worst!

We collected Campbell Soup labels at school to get school equipment.
I gave my sister a haircut - and she wasn't the same for a long time!! Lol...
I had a Chatty Cathy, and some doll that cried tears...
Hey all. Done catching up.
Sweet Honesty, Love's Baby Soft, Yours, Mine and Ours. Stratego and Battleship. YES!! I had the monkey, too. Just thought I'd let you all know that this thread made me buy the Billy Jack movies and doing a search found out that a 3 DVD Gidget set is being released on August 3. Gidget, Gidget Goes Hawaiian (my absolute fave) and I think Gidget Goes To Rome. I will be buying that also as a B-day present for myself. I deserve it.

Growing up I had all my cavities filled without novocain..seemed my dentist only used novocain to pull teeth. Took me years before I realized he was a sadist...LOL !!!
