Iliked the episode when Hawkeye or maybe it was BJ, lied just a bit on a death certificate since the soilder died on Christmas.
I watched Mash and All In The Family faithfully too. Another favorite of mine was China Beach. I thoguht it had some fine actors in this series.

Have fun at the Arts Center. It'll always be that to me, too. I practically grew up there in the summers, on the lawn when you were allowed to bring in coolers, blankets, etc. and the lawn wasn't miles away from the stage.

I saw her when she opened for Cher at "Brendan Byrne Arena", two years ago, I think. I enjoyed it.

Boobs - I also liked China Beach alot! Even though I haven't watched her new show (can't really stomach all those crime shows) I'm very happy for Marge. She and Dana were always so good on Beach.
Speaking of autopsy shows, what about Quincy?
Oooh!!! CSI! Love that show. It's my favorite. I gave up on NYPD Blue, but CSI? Love it. Sometimes I do have to hide my eyes and peek between my fingers, but, I need my weekly fix. Great cast all around.

DG I loved Concetta Tomei in China Beach too.
I never really watched Quincy..maybe a couple of episodes.
Have we discussed Saturday Night Live yet??? The originals...Gilda Radnar... can you say Brilliant???

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but the original cast is all I've ever seen. I know many of the people that have come after from there other 'work' - but as far as actually seeing the show, the original is it for me.
I saw Gilda in a play called Lunch Hour in DC in about 80-81. She was really great. I felt so bad for her and Gene - but she kept a great attitude through til the end - and he seems to have found more hapiness. Her as Latella with Jane disgusted beside her is my favorite thing from her work.
Okay my "adult" friends..I'm off to Cyndi...if I can get myself to sit down at the puter when I get home I'll give you my review, if not I'll post it in the morning. Everyone have a wonderful night...without me...*eyes swell up with tears*
Her "I like violins on TV!" too funny

Boobs - have FUN!
You'll be missed!
I liked Quincy, too. It had a good pace.
Was anybody a Twin Peaks fan?? Who killed Laura Palmer...
Saturday Night Live - it changed the face of comedy-variety television.
It always had surprises.

Interesting to see just how iconic some of that original cast has become. Garrett Morris kind of fell by the wayside, but the rest of them - now the 'grandfathers' of comedy - how funny is that!
Twin Peaks, yup. I got so confused near the end, I almost gave up on it.

I only peeked in once on Twin Peaks - something about a weird camera angle (kind of like the old Batman show) with an unitelligable dwarf running around and Kyle MacLachlan needing to brush his teeth. I changed the channel very quickly.
I loved what Sesame Street did with it... They caled it "Twin Beaks" all the birds had two beaks. And Cookie Monster kept on saying "mighty fine pie" It was really cute

Mominator - that sounds like more about my speed

Mominator - yes, Charles did indeed travel all the way to Tokyo to find sheet music for left-hand only piano. The episode ended with the young man sitting at the piano in that bar tent (the one that Fr. Mulcahy always played) and Charles looking on.
From the sublime to the sublimely ridiculous - who can forget Klinger as the pink-footed bird trying to hang-glide out of Korea?
What I always wanted to know is ... How the heck Klinger got all those dresses in the first place!
...man, this day has been a bear!
I'm still at the office (got in at 7 this morning) - so decided to take a 'mental health' break for a few minutes (as I did earlier when I popped in to post), and join the party...
I'm sure this was brought up earlier, but one of my favorite shows in the 70's was "Little House on the Prairie". For one, I loved the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. And, because I couldn't take my eyes off of Michael Landon. (That was another death that was hard to learn of!)

Michael Landon - what a career - very much like Bill Bixby and James Garner - whatever they touched turned to gold - and all of them clas acts.
As for Klinger's dresses - I vote for the secret admirer scenario
I know I'm bouncing all over the place here - but another great movie memory is "American Graffiti". Great cast!
