Why do you need two more?
Poni, think. What could you have possibly done to annoy her a little?

Finished writing my story?
Not at all. I'm still working on the plotline details... it's a long involved process, this will be a while. And my bww addiction is not making me any more productive.

Angsty-stuff-
So I don't know if you remember but a while back I posted about my friend dating this guy who is SO clearly gay...anyways...the situation has worsened. He knows I know the truth, and is always saying things about me to her, which she hasn't paid any attention to yet thankfully, but the worst thing is he is always slyly acting gay to me when my friend isn't looking - just to drive me crazy - aaaaaaaaaaaah the guy is a MORON!!!!
I want him to go away, but I don't know how.

Well it's never actually been spoken...but he knows I know, and I know he knows I know - and we've been acting all pally in front of my friend, even though we secretly hate each other.
I've tried dropping hints to my friend, but she just doesn't get it.
He's becoming more and more blatant, so I'm hoping one day soon my friend will turn around just in time to see him air-lick a guys butt (he always does that), or pout at me in a way which ,trust me, makes it clear. Anyway, do you think I should come out of the hating closet, and tell her I despise the guy...or carry on pretending?

Either way, make sure if you tell her, you make it clear that you don't hate him because he's gay - you hate him because he's gay, knows he's gay, and is leading her on.
HOWEVER - are you SURE that HE knows himself that he's gay? Because if he's not just using her to put up a front, and really, he's just a self-loathing gay guy who can't accept who he really is, you should show more sympathy to him.

Ellie, to your first question- I hope both
Tell your friend how you feel if it comes up and doesn't sound random, but don't make a huge deal out of it or you'll sound bitchy. Not that you are, but you might come off that way.

Posted: 11/14/04 at 12:00amYeah, I think he must know he's gay...c'mon he makes slurpy sounds and air-licks hot guys butts as they walk past. And it's hard to show sympathy to such an outright jerk, but I suppose that's (maybe...just maybe...possibly...however doubtful...) a good mask he puts on. But either way, it's not fair on my friend!

Posted: 11/14/04 at 12:02amNo, it's not, but you can't change their relationship and it might hurt your friendship with her if you try. Just be supportive if he does dump her rudely.

So I guess I'll stick with bitching to you guys, and hope and pray that she sees sense, dumps him quicksmart, he finds a nice guy, proves I'm right...and they both go on to lead happy lives.
And thanks for your advice!!!!!!

Girls become stupid when they're around guys. Plain and simple. Ever notice when you're looking at someone else's relationship and they complain to you and you offer solutions but they keep rationalizing all the bad things in their head? When you get into a relationship, your priorities and way of interpreting everything gets skewed. Even if it's SO obvious to everyone else outside of the relationship what exactly is wrong.
Having said that, I concur with Som. Even though ideally, it would be "chicks before dicks" when it comes to girl friends, the likelihood is that your friend is going to resent you like hell if you tell her this, ESPECIALLY after they've been dating so long and she's probably getting serious with this guy. I'm assuming she didn't consult you before they started dating, and that alone implies that she's comfortable with her gut instinct and doesn't care what anyone thinks - as right or wrong as that is.
So like Som said, I say leave her be and wait for the guy to dump her - then console her when it's over. And DON'T say "I told you so.", no matter how tempting it is. I know you'll hate this, but it's good because: 1) your friend won't resent you. 2) If this guy has not totally outed himself, or even come to terms with his sexuality, you'll be ruining both of their lives.
I get that you don't want to hurt your friend, but she'll hurt whether she finds out from you or finds out from the bf.
Just my 2c!
Okay I'm off to make an important phone call!
