So happy I decided to spring for the VIP tickets this year! I've been saying that this year will be my swan song. The last time I'll attend the Dance on the Pier. After all, I'm not getting any younger. (Although, I've said it before, so who knows?) My friends and I decided to do it one last time because we're hoping that with the SCOTUS rulings, this will be a truly historic Pride. If it does turn out to be my last time at the rodeo, so glad to be going out with Bang, Bang!

Just got tickets.
We haven't been in years. Swore we'd never go again. The crowds. The drugs. The drunk, messy queens. The lines for the bathrooms. All our friends whining, "It's not like it used to be."
But it's CHER, goddamnit. It IS like it used to be.

Posted: 6/18/13 at 10:25pmPJ... don't worry too much about the drugs and drunk, messy queens. Went a couple of years ago, and didn't see too much of that. Security is extremely tight. They practically pat you down upon entry. And just a tip... travel light and don't carry ANYTHING with you, with the exception of a cell phone. All bags, etc. must be checked (in a truck) before entering the pier. See you there!

After last year's "experience" I had made up my mind that I was just going to stay home. But...this is CHER! So I'm lifting my self-imposed exile because...this is CHER! I have to be there!!
