The "Daddy boots" text tat in the mirror selfie looks real - the skin is slightly raised and inflamed in the way a new tattoo would appear. I don't think a movie would bother with that kind of realism.

But it only says that in the Jewish part of the bible that people like to ignore large chunks of that they feel might restrict them from enjoying their life. They only want to enforce the parts that allow them to hate other people and use the bible as an excuse for why they are allowed to hate (even though parts of the bible that they like to ignore say that hating is a sin as well).

Personally, I don't care about his tattoos - his body, his choice - but the locations he chose for them make them difficult to cover, which is going to affect his desirability as an actor. Granted, major tattoos never hurt Jonny Lee Miller's career - but Cheyenne Jackson isn't Jonny Lee Miller.

I agree, Ghostlight. It's the locations of the tattoos that are the worst. Like that paragraph one looks really stupid on an arm.

That's why I made the joke about going on America's Worst Tattoo. That one will be very difficult to turn into anything great.

Yes, as I said, so does Jonny Lee Miller - but do you put Jackson in the same category as he and Day-Lewis, acting-wise? IMO, he isn't even close.

I like tats on other people. I have them myself. Most people build sleeves over time, though. To get tats like this that take up so much visible space, for an actor, can be self-defeating.

I'm not sure any of this is true, yet - but again, as I said above, the "Daddy Boots" tat looks very real and very recent.

Movie make-up can be slathered on pretty thickly to cover those tattoos. At the end of the day, it's his body and his choice to put those on. As a gay man, he's been through enough judgement from others.

His new tats remind me of how kids play with Silly Putty. They rub up against newsprint and words come off. But they're all at a weird angle and don't fit right.

Lord, I hope those tats are fake. The one on his forearm is particularly badly done. (If they aren't fake, I hope they were cheap!)

I doubt very much the tats will inhibit his future casting. Make up artists are use to it by now.

My favorite line in the article: "A source tells Queerty Jackson arrived in swimwear, spent most of the evening “talking about himself” and showed off his brand-new tattoos..." This is always the vibe I've felt was evident of Mr. Jackson. (I've never met him, only going from what I've seen in the press.)

I mean...it was a Hollywood pool party. Do we really think that's odd behavior??? Come now.

But that's an entirely separate issue. We're discussing tatted actors...not whether they're good or not. I mean...yes...if someone is looking for a reason not to cast you, I'm sure they can say, 'Oh F*CK him...I won't deal with those tats!' But then...it's really not about the tats.

I've had very little interpersonal dealings with Mr. Jackson, but he was always lovely. Nice and engaged. I'm sad his relationship has ended. But that happens. I'm happy he's found sobriety. And the rest doesn't matter.

Same, Robbie. I have read all the gossip about him but never seen that behavior in person when I have interacted with him. Very sweet, down to earth.

So he is officially sober now or what? Something I read yesterday directly contradicted that. I'm confused.

What I read yesterday seemed to suggest he was sober. I hope that's the case, if he did, indeed, have a problem.
