Does the franchise not have to pay anything back towards corporate? If it does, then your money is still going to crap causes designed to marginalize you, no matter how tasty the dead chicken is.
I don't think Focus on The Family's connection stretches more than showcasing interviews and/or speeches by Truett Cathy, but the Christian connection would keep me away too, especially if it extended to hiring discrimination.
Since Dobson left, Focus has become a lot more benign, if not in spirit or overall hateful mission, at least in content and demeanor.

So bigotry with a smile is more palatable than bigotry without?
Also,
Chick-fil-A has promoted religious groups via toys and CDs included in children's meals, much as movie studios promote new movies via McDonald's Happy Meal toys. These have ranged from including toys from the Christian television series VeggieTales in children's meals to including Financial Peace for Kids children's books by Christian financial guru Dave Ramsey and CDs from the Christian radio program Adventures in Odyssey,[19] as children's meal incentives. The last show mentioned is produced by the radio division of Focus on the Family, and typically heard on Christian radio stations.
Chick-fil-A and Focus on the Family also have a history of cross-promotion. Chick-fil-A has also sponsored meetings by the group All Pro Dad; All Pro Dad is a group with affiliations with Family First [20] a non-profit organization based out of Tampa, Florida started by Mark Merrill and Tony Dungy Chick-fil-A has also directly sponsored other religious campaigns. One of the groups sponsored by Chick-fil-A is Athletes in Action, a sports missionary arm of the Campus Crusade for Christ.
Another link between Chick-fil-A and religious groups includes promotion of National Bible Week. S. Truett Cathy is the chair of the National Bible Week Committee.
Ewww...they do have have lengthy tentacles. I remember hearing about the religious toys...how obnoxious.
Phyllis...in saying what I did, I basically meant they've turned into the radio version of Mike Huckabee....same ugly mindset in a folksier, vaguely more palatable (and I use those words very loosely) package.
Another corporate chain coming to help rob New York City of its personality? Yay!
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Pshaw, Lisa Whelchel just wants another place where she can grab free hot sauce packets to squirt down her kids' mouths when they take the lord's name in vain.
