I'm a big Chloe Webb fan...she deserved an oscar nom for Sid and Nancy, as did Oldman.
"ThIIIDDD!"
I also loved her as Mona and REALLY wish she had worked with Jackie Burroughs as Mother Mucca. They would've been a hoot!
I did see her a few years ago on "Medium" and she was great.
I loved both Mouses, but the second one was cuter.
I think I've seen Sid and Nancy at least 20 times.
doodle - Just as Chloe Wess will always be Mona for me, Marcus D'Amico will always be Mouse. He appeared and behaved exactly house I imagined the character. I also thought he was brilliant in An Inspector Calls on Broadway.
Just when I call Courtney's reaction to the matter subdued, she chooses to write this:
Courtney Love, who recently lost custody of Frances Bean Cobain, posted two incoherent rants on her Facebook page today, bashing Kurt Cobain's family and her 17-year-old daughter. She says Frances "was deceptive she lied and shes lying to herself."
She continues, "frankly the whole thing disgusts my daihgter is not always honest and ive alliwed her to visit with these assholes i support to the tune of houses horses and monthly annuities and cars, well the good news is now that frances is clearly deluded that she can buy her grandmaother a 'small house in la' id love to see how that works." She goes on to insult members of the Cobain family who have been named Frances' guardians saying, "well im going out with ms palmer and ms kirke and frances have fun on your covers of the tabs, thats what your wonder bread side likes, you couldve asked for emanicaption youc ouldve gone to simons rock, but you have to get involved with that terrifying not to me, to you witch who keeps britney spars in jail? thats insane. you realie this will put you in juvenoile fami;y circus three times in your little life? this is what along with his mother killed your father..."

WTF is with the spelling?
Courtney on social networking.
I nearly laughed at the random mention of Simon's Rock aka the prodigy school in a longer rant. But other than that my jaw dropped to the floor.

I still hold out hope that the remaining books will be turned into tv movies, but I'm not holding my breath.
I love that this thread is about both Courtney Love and Tales of the City.
I just bought the books for a friend when her grandmother passed. I told her I could have sent a flower, but they die and a good book lasts forever. My theatre teacher gave me Tales when I was in college. She said they were like chocolate. She told me to pay special attention to the letter Michael writes his mom in the second or third one. She SO knew I was gay before I did. The books mean so much to me.
Did you read Michael Toliver lives? Is it worth reading?
She's mad at Perez but fights on at Facebook.
Courtney Love threatened to sue Perez Hilton for publishing her messages about Frances Bean Cobain, yet she posted about her daughter again today saying, "im angry at these people not Frances id just prefer she not become Jaimie L Spears."
Courtney wrote on Facebook this afternoon: "theres not a whole lot i can do about it. this is like a hand grenade got thrown into our lives and its not Frances! i am angry at these people not Frances id just prefer she not become Jaimie L Spears, she should go be a writer or an a...rtist wich i support 100% but this is a circus and it pains me cos i know she hates it." She added, "i very much miss my daighter, i know she knows how miserable i am im despairing and so sad, so so sad, but i just want to help her be happy, thats it, get her house and get her school and thats all ive ever wanted." [TMZ]
Courtney Love says Perez Hilton defamed her by posting the two earlier Facebook messages about Frances Bean Cobain and the Cobain family and now she's getting her lawyer involved. In another Facebook message posted today Love writes: "perez you know what YOUR lawyer saud? to a client? "if shed just give in and sell rest for 15 million all of this would dissapear like magic" tell him to suck i oh by the way you lying queen youve just lied and defamed me and my child for the last time i ****ign HATE YOU you fat ass piece of bully **** PART of that was from a personal lettr and PART of that YOU made up, and thats ILLEGAL." [BlackBook Mag]
I would fork over money now for Frances to write a tell-all.

JG2, if the Tales books have meaning for you then Michael Tolliver Lives is definitely worth getting. It's like FINALLY getting to catch up with old friends you lost touch with.

I totally agree, Namo. I was apprehensive at first, but it really does everything you want it to AND it ends the series on a much more satisfying note than Significant Others did.

And because it's Maupin, it leaves room for more.

Exactly! One of my very favorite characters barely gets a mention in that book.
Now a restraining order:
