Well, a lot of fundies aren't necessarily pro-Israel either, it's just the stance they take because something bad has to happen with them thar jews in the holy land before Jesus can come back.
Well, of course. But I bet being considered pro-Israel rather pro-Palestine is the lesser of two evils for someone like Charlton Heston.
Now, Vanessa Redgrave may have voted for Munich
I'm sure there are. But...how many do you actually KNOW about?
You agree then, that there are a lot more straight people in Hollywood than gay people...
So if they are going to throw their support behind a "message" movie about tolerance and bigotry, it only makes sense they would be drawn to the film about multicultural men and women struggling with racism in modern day L.A. than a period film about two cowboys who have an affair 40 years ago in Wyoming.

I didn't mean it as fact.
And a quarter seemed safe. I mean, it's not like I said 99% or anything.
Trust me...it's off...WAAAAAAAAAAAY off.

Social issues and causes aside, Munich was actually a good movie.

I'm not upset with Crash's win at all. I didn't think it'd win, and I didn't think it was that good of a movie.
So what's a better number? Half? 1/3?
The vast majority of people I meet in the film business are straight. Sorry. It's not like musical theatre at all.
Please...Musical theatre isn't even like musical theatre!
Ebert on the post-Oscars backlash:
""Brokeback Mountain" was simply a better movie than "Capote." And "Crash" was better than "Brokeback Mountain," although they were both among the best films of the year. That is a matter of opinion. But I was not "discomfited" by "Brokeback Mountain." Read my original review. I chose "Crash" as the best film of the year not because it promoted one agenda and not another, but because it was a better film.
The nature of the attacks on "Crash" by the supporters of "Brokeback Mountain" seem to proceed from the other position: "Brokeback" is better not only because of its artistry but because of its subject matter, and those who disagree hate homosexuals. Its supporters could vote for it in good conscience, vote for it and feel they had made a progressive move, vote for it and not feel that there was any stain on their liberal credentials for shunning what "Crash" had to offer. "
Mister Matt-
I agree with everything you said on page 7.
Ebert is the new Al Sharpton.
But he thinks what you said on other pages is RUBBISH!
But he thinks what you said on other pages is RUBBISH!
While I'm not sure what you're referring to, that is perfectly fine by me.
I was just making a punchline. It wasn't really referring to anything.
I'm so confused...
"I agree with everything you said on page 7. "
"But he thinks what you said on other pages is RUBBISH!"

OH!... I still don't get it.
