They may well be largely US usages.

At any rate, as you can see, Namo's summation was spot on.

Yes, I can understand it now.

All problems are man made and so, can be man solved.

I admit I did think that it is proof of Canada's superiority (politically) though with our PM so US obsessed it's not long off....

She's is obviously very mentally ill. She reminds me of the woman who used to pass out her "book" in Times Square about the second coming. It was actually a photocopied page, back and front in tiny writing. My mom actually took one and tried to read it on the way to the airport.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

That article explains something I didn't understand while watching the video: why, except for the hilarious guy up front, the rest of the audience reacts so little to her speech. Since she is a regular speaker at the Council meetings, they've all heard variations of it before.

The article also says that she lives in an assisted-living facility and has been deemed incompetent by the courts. Also, "she has talked about Chinese 'subliminals' that come through cellphones and other electronics, paradise on earth and family members being killed by doctors. She once brought in a large stick figure that she said was her mother's ghost."

So she's mentally ill rather than filled with hate.

"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

The two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

Her brother's comments make me feel even sh*ttier about the whole thing.

It is sad, although I can't say I agree that the onus is one someone reading the Huffington Post or whatever to diagnose someone's mental illness, which is kind of what I got from the brother's comments.

I admit I went ragy when I first saw it, and I'm sure part of it has to do with it coming on the heels of the North Carolina mess. She did sound crazy to me, but what she said really wasn't for off for what passes as acceptable anti-gay discourse from the right.

I think people should stop talking about this lady except in the context of inadequate care for the mentally ill.

I blame Reagan.

While I understand why that video is the one that went viral, I wish more people were viewing this one from the same council meeting:

I didn't think deleting this thread would do any good since everyone's seen it by now. I changed the title.

Let me ask you guys, is that enough or should I delete it altogether?

Don't delete it tazber. You didn't mean any harm. Even without your revised thread heading it is very clear that this woman is mentally unstable.

When I was watching it I wasn't laughing at her or the fact that she was mentally ill but at what she was saying because of course it was an erratic, over-the-top,jumbled mess that basically made no sense whatsoever.
