The judges have only themselves to blame. You give Cloris the same scores as other dancers and there's a huge risk Cloris will stay. It's insane that Cloris gets scores that are in the same ballpark as the others. While this is a dancing/personality show, Cloris is only working on half that and she shouldn't be given a free pass because she's 82. As bad as she is, Susan Lucci is still attempting to do all the dances. She's not standing on the platform while everyone dances.

But in all fairness, the producers put Cloris on the show for laughs--it's not as though they thought an 82 year old woman could dance competitively with a model, professional athletes, or a little twinkie boy.

I would love for them to just make up a new rule out of nowhere so we get rid of both Cloris and Susan on the same night. I know that will never ever happen though.

Cloris is old, but not mentally handicapped. She is paying no attention to what she has learned. Every rehearsal is more shenanigans than dancing, made clear by her partner last night. If she actually tried, Carrie Ann and I would give her a pass...but she is not trying anything except figuring out how to make an ass of herself.

There was one week where I felt Cloris was actually trying. The rest of the time, I think Doodle is right. She's just out there being a goof.
That said, I did think Carrie Ann's comment was a little harsh last night, even though it was true.

Cloris had to know going in that she wasn't going to win the whole thing. She was shrewd to use her "shenanigans" to secure the popular vote that has carried her this far. It is time for to go, however.

I can't believe they did the group hip hop number again tonight. Wow.

I'm sorry, but I think Susan Lucci is the worst dancer on the show. At least when Cloris is clowning around, she shows some signs of "life" (DESPITE the fact that she's nearly 83). We're not REALLY taking this show seriously, are we, folks? Bruno got it right: Cloris knew how to "sell" it, and people were "buying"!
I don't mean to piss off all my friends who love All My Children, but I have to say it anyway: Maybe Susan has had so much "work" done, she can't "move."
Okay, there, I said it.

That just made me laugh. I never thought about Susan like that. Yeah, I'm not sad to see Cloris go though. Just next week to get Susan off though. :) And then I think I will be picking by how poorly the rest do because I just have no idea. Okay, I think Brooke and Warren can make it to the finals more than likely. The rest, I'm not sure about.

I'm not sad to see Cloris go either, Marianne. I pretty much agree 100% with your post.

I am SO happy Cloris is gone. Though I will miss Corky a tiny bit! But not enough to wish Cloris was back. I completely agree with doodles about her.
I hope Susan is next. I am cheering for Lance, Cody, and Brooke now

So, please people, let's forget about her DWTS appearance and remember Phyllis! :)

There's no reason to forget about Cloris on DWTS. Anyone who didn't find her amusing on the show, has no sense of humor. And Carrie is a c-word.

Cloris was funny in the beginning, but then it just got old and boring. Like Susan Lucci's dancing. And I don't think anyone can forget her because of that personality. Nothing wrong with being a little insane, but that was all she had going for her.

Cloris was funny to a point. I fast forwarded past her dances because the schtick had gotten old for me and Corky was unbearable to me. The horny, batty old grandmother routine grew thin and bordered on offensive. However, her complete dismissal of Samantha was reason enough to keep her on, and it was this Cloris that I adored. I could not stop laughing last night when she blew off Samantha's questions to go to talk to the judges and put Carrie Ann in her place. This Cloris I will miss.
I feel the "B" and "C" words are used too freely in talking about women. In Carrie Ann's case, those words are perfect and should be preceded by the word "sexist." The woman has real problems with women at the same time that she's slobbering all over the men.

I never use the "c" word, but it does apply to her. In fact, it was my wife who used it about her. I'm only agreeing.

If Susan leaves next week, it will finally become a real competition imo.

But Sheldon, if Cody lays off the whitening strips, then Lance won't notice his purdy smile!

He's aging well...he was never my favorite N*SYNC member, but I think he looks the best out of all of them now.
