It's really not a question of "we." It's a decision each individual has the right to make as he or she chooses. Why should anyone feel an obligation to line the coffers of someone whose behavior or attitudes he or she finds repellent? And how does anyone have the right to dictate to others how to spend their money, and for what reasons?

As for the director in question, whether or not he creates great art is again, wholly subjective. The only film of his that I've seen is Silver Linings Playbook. Unlike Fantod, I didn't find it repugnant. I did find it total crap from beginning to end.

I don't think it's difficult to understand why the bullies on this board pick on Fantod. That's what bullies do. They resent that he knows as much as he does; that he refuses to bow and scrape before their idols; and most of all, that he displays a moral compass, a notion that is as repellent to cruds as cruds are to everyone else.

You resent the fact that I use information to back up my claims? And I rarely use Wikipedia on here. If anything, Castalbums.org, Playbillvault.com, IBDB.com or Ovrtur.com

I usually use my general knowledge from reading various biographies, memoirs, and other books about theatre. I just finished Showtime (holy cow that took forever to read) and plan on starting Mad Pilgrimage of the Flesh (I think that's what it's called) when I get it at the library tomorrow.

My goal one day is to be as smart as Fantod pretends to be.

My goal is to never be as condescending, belittling, and nasty as Jordan Catalano pretends to be. (At last I hope he is pretending. God save him if he actually is that horrid in real life).

We should all find old threads and bump them saying how we shouldn't be discussing them anymore.
