Did you not read that thread before I started posting? People were arguing about gun control long before I posted on the other thread. Learn to read or at least comprehend what you're reading before you post things that aren't true.

Well, fine. People were talking about gun control in a way because of what happened was sad and should never happen. I actually don't recall arguing until you showed up to put down what is a sensitive subject. I mean, children died, and you are arguing with people over how you disagree about guns being banned? It was in poor taste.

-Teachers should be allowed to have guns in school

Automatic weapons are nearly illegal. They're almost impossible to get and very few civilians have them and most of the recent shootings didn't use automatic weapons. It was a semi automatic weapon used in the shooting. You seem to be getting automatic and assault rifles confused.
To put it words you will understand, automatic weapons continue to shoot as long as your finger is on the trigger. With Semi automatic weapons, one bullet comes out every time you pull the trigger.

And for you snafu, even simpler words. It's never going to happen. If you take guns away from law abiding citizens, the criminals will still have them. The people who commit mass murders will still have them. Can you get that through your thick brain? How are they going to take them away from people who got them illegally and there's no record of them even owning a gun? You can't do it. It's impossible.

Also, how come other countries that have made it nearly impossible to have guns in general have the lowest gun related crimes? If what your saying is true, then the criminals over in those countries should still be committing mass murders. But they are in fact, not. Why is that Abby? I want to prevent something like this from ever happening again, and clearly having more gun control didn't work in CT, so why would it work if no one had access to guns except criminals, who, if they can't get them legally, will just smuggle them in from Mexico or buy them from someone who has them illegally? Or do something even worse and use explosives instead, which can kill a lot more people in a much shorter time, and there's no way whatsoever to stop the killer.

Russia has extremely strict gun laws and they have a much higher murder rate than the US. Just because there aren't as many guns doesn't mean the murder rate is going to go down.
