And if you think Kerrigan is a c*nt (and she is...in just the right way), you should try sitting behind Oksana at a Stars on Ice event. She redefines the word.

Doodle, I totally concur. The sport is just not the same without Kwan competing. I'm sorry she didn't get a proper send off for what she brought to the sport. I just watched Michelle's program from the '95 World's yesterday. I remember how excited I was the first time I saw her skate. Nothing will ever compare to her '98 short program.

I can't stand Tara "no height on jumps" Lapinski.

After watching the Nationals over the last week or so, I decided I needed to watch a little Salmoe from the 1996 Worlds. There never has been, nor will there ever be, anyone better.

I actually dont blame Lipinsky, but those triples would be downgraded these days to doubles...she loved to cheat her landings!

I agree tho, Dottie, that I could never really count her revolutions...girl could spin FAST but she got so little height.

I was so amazed that that Irina Slutskaya would EVER be close to Kwan...especially in presentation scores. She couldnt interpret my hiney.

I was very sad when Kwan fell in '02. But ECSTATIC when Slutskaya nearly bashed her head into the wall. Cow on skates.

Me either...but I did like her personality off the ice and the rivalry was fun to watch...and the gawkfest that was Butyrskaya.

There's another one I never got (Maria B.)!! Irina seemed very nice whenever they interviewed her. Her skating was another matter though.

SonofRobbieJ, you were sad when Michelle fell in '02, I was really sad when Michelle lost in '98.

That Kostner is the one I dont get nowadays. I have NO idea why she is judged so well. She may land some jumps but looks like she's holding diarrhea in the whole time.

Oh GOD! Butyrskaya! She made the big black girl that fell off the coffee table look like Maria Tallchief.

Anyone remember the spectacular flame-out of the French girl from the '92 Olympics?? She gave the short program of a lifetime. And a Hidenburg of a long program. I swear at one point she just went sliding, splayed, across the ice.

Doodle-bring it on! I think my taste is for the more active, exciting and well choreographed skaters. The jumping means nothing to me. yes, I know, it means EVERYTHING to everyone else!

Robbie, I TOTALLY remember that girl...she was in the top six after the short so had to skate with the elite and actually ended up SITTING DOWN on the ice by the end of her long program.

Janey, please dont insult me by telling me I only care about jumps. I always appreciate exciting skaters and great choreography. Seriously.

Yes...and doing a jump within choreography, like Michelle, is artistry.
