As a Gay Man who was there at the start of the AIDS crisis.I have been to many marches, rallies, bringing meals to my gay brothers and sisters, Standing for equal rights, gay marriage and so on. What a beautiful post, Huss, and very well said indeed! I really do not understand how someone like BroadwayConcierge gets a free pass when it comes to posting every single Breaking News, Preview, Closing, etc. thread. He should absolutely be held accountable for his actions, on the boards or off!

I think the problem is not that he's lied but that we misheard him. We thought we heard him say he'd be good for the gays but in actuality, he has confirmed he said he'd be good for the goys.

Seriously, he is and has always been a conman. It's fine to hope for the best but no one can be surprised when it doesn't happen.

Exactly this! I got BANNED for 3 days because I said "mean things" to BroadwayConcierge!!! Such a fricken joke, in my opinion!

I hope moderators take action to that kind of post because it is just pointless personal attacks to a specific person - no discussion of any issues what so ever. BroadwayConcierge may have voted for Trump but so did almost half of the voters in the USA, if I recall correctly. It is a mainstream decision not some unusual fringe extremism. Do you think this behaviour will ever help anyone be 'woke'?

This uncomfortable witch hunt because someone who has mainstream views doesn't conform to the echo chamber here is awkward. Of course, everyone knows I personally don't align with BroadwayConcierge's views at all - I have even LESS in common with him than most of you who are far more conservative than me. But I know what it is like to face the conservative machine here whether it was criticising the conservative Democratic candidate, or having people jumping on me for criticising conversative, false belief systems that are one of THE major causes of LGBT oppression on this earth.

Very few people here are as open-minded, progressive or intellectually engaged as they think they are. I don't want you to have the attitude that people like BroadwayConcierge should be removed because I'm not confident you all are always correct in your assessment of what views should be allowed and what not. It's a slippery slope I don't think we should go down.

If you are really concerned at what someone is saying then I suggest as a last resort you hit the block button - it's there for a reason! Let those that can actually handle being exposed to challenging, difficult, uncomfortable ideas that might not align with our own carry on without you.

qolbinau, you and I both know that BroadwayConcierge has this sort of dominance over the rest of the board. The only problem I really have with him is that he runs the boards, even though he's pretty unpopular on this board, so I don't understand how the rest of BroadwayWorld is okay with him despite the things he's said and done.

So maybe I did say some condescending and childish things in my original post, but... you would have to be in on a lot of private messages to understand the true nature of who BroadwayConcierge is!

I know I'm coming across as this delusional, crazy person, but I'm trying to do what's right for BroadwayWorld! It's unfortunate that I'M the unpopular one, considering the things BroadwayConcierge has said that only a handful of posters are aware of on these boards. If this were really a free, open, networking site, I would (and should) be allowed to post whatever I want unmonitored. It's kind of like what kdogg was alluding to in another thread about free speech on the boards.
