Speaking of signatures, a few weeks ago, a friend let me know about this charming missive that someone else had been posted about me. I'm thinking of using it as my signature.

Read this thread on my phone before logging in, saw the idiot's post. Didn't she always write about strong women? And then she goes after women's looks and changes a lesbian's name to a man's? I read that and yelled "Shut the hell up YOU F*CKING CUNT!" right at my phone while outside a daycare center.


NYAD i agree with everything you said. if you follow the threads i have my opinion but dont get personal. but i will try and not keep trying to convince people. you are right about that and i need to learn that.

October 7 is so not "in the last week." I hate a troll who can't do math. And it wonders why people call it a troll. I'd like to start a petition to force it to block all the people it names in its sig file. The way it's in favor of forced sterilization of women (cf baby in a shopping bag thread).

Oh and Reg, you had enormous patience with it for far longer than it deserved. I remember noting at the time that it really had to cross a line to piss off the most patient guy on this board. Fact is, it imagines a group that is of a hive mind that is against it, which actually doesn't exist, and it wants do desperately to be accepted here that it wants the group that doesn't want it most of all, that can be the only reason it won't use the block function.

I remember back during the discussion about the ignore feature that it said it had received so many PMs of support. I'm pretty sure none was from the group it called MEANGIRLS, so why not just have conversations with all of those friends and supporters? In the spirit of "disagreeing with the view, not the person", I think the SuperTroll does deserve some sympathy. I don't think it's inherently evil or anything - it's just desperate for human contact, any human contact. Perhaps after some counselling, it could come back under a new screen-name and start afresh.

I was thinking if it took maybe a full year out to rehabilitate itself, we might be prepared to welcome it back in its natural state without all the fake outrage. Of course, its real self probably has very little to say. (That never stopped me, though!)

I don't think simply stating an opinion that is different from the left side of things makes a person a troll. It seems t hat when someone does they are dismissed as troll to quiet them. Or even worse personal attacks. Even someone like lizaheadband who is with the meangirls on every other issue was labeled troll when she dared question obamacare last week.

I'll argue with (almost) anyone but I got fed up with her "change the subject every time she's proven wrong" technique. That is seen as a valid debate technique in conservative groups, apparently, but not in polite society.
