When I was younger, I loved it when ABC family would air nothing but magic shows in October. They would show magicians such as Penn and Teller and Lance Burton. I'm not sure if they still do this, but it was the best.

ABC Family still shows Halloween themed movies & shows for the last 13 days before Halloween.

Everything after Halloweentown 2 sucked, and the lack of Hocus Pocus makes me very upset. But I do love Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire.

Well, I'll be watching Halloweentown 1. I actually have it on DVD so I'll probably watch it more than just those times. I'll also watch Phantom of the Megaplex, well, shoot, actually, I would LOVE to, but the only time it's showing I'll be busy

TheatreFan thank you for the list
I deffinetly will look for
Halloween town 1 and 2 (everything else sucked)
Moms got a date with a vampire
phantom of the megaplex
tower of terror
I too am upset about Hocus Pocus not being there. I am pretty sure the first time I saw it was years ago on Disney Channel..
I miss those days. That and reading Goosebumps.

I wish they still showed "The Scream Team" on Disney Channel during the Halloween thing on Disney Channel. I really love that movie. Even now.
Does anyone else remember it? Those kids move into that town? Where the inventer was killed or whatever? And they use that group of ghost ghost hunters to help the evil guy cross over to the other side?
"That's a good point. Next time I pee on a Starbucks couch and throw straws and napkins at a barista, I'll just yell, "YOU DON'T KNOW ME OUTSIDE OF STARBUCKS! YOU DON'T KNOW ME AT ALL!" and that should do it. "-LizzieCurry

Aww, no "Double, Double Toil and Trouble" with the Olsen twins? LOL! I'm kidding. I was obsessed with that movie when I was little.

Oh yes, I AM excited about Phantom of the Megaplex.
I think one Halloween (next year? Hello? WAKE UP DISNEY!)
They should show all the films they used to show on there.
Like Hocus Pocus, Scream Team, Halloweentown, etc. I much prefer those to the newer ones they are showing, I mean yeah they are still showing some of the good ones, but really. Halloweentown 2? Mostly Ghostly?

I was in the shower today & I was thinking could "secretly being witches/creatures in the real world" in Halloweentown High have been a metaphor for being gay? I know it's a stretch but that's what it seemed like at the end of the movie.

Halloweentown 2 came about in 2001 & I don't think it is part of "milking it" tactics Disney has now.

Thank you for posting! I have not seen the Tower of Terror movie in ages.
Oh, how I miss the Disney Channel Original movies. Disney went down hill with programming after Lizzie McGuire (which I liked at the time).

What I hated about Halloweentown 4 is that Debbie Reynold's starring role in the original 3 was reduced to just a cameo. That was back when Disney put big classic stars in their DCOM movies like Julie Andrews in the Eloise series.
they need to make less gimmicky movies that aren't produced just to showcase the cast of Hannah Montana or Suite Life.
The programming may not be considered "as good" but I'm sure it's popularity means that when this generation grows up they'll look back on the Disney teeny-bopper era as fondly as we do on the 80s/90s Disney shows. Our parents probably thought those shows were rubbish actually, they just didn't have the mind-numbing exposure that their modern counterparts get today.

Agreed. I felt like I got a slap in the face when I heard what her role was reduced too. What stung even more was that fact that her character's traits were passed off onto the Witch professor who doesn't follow the "NO MAGIC" rule.
That is SUCH an Aggie thing to do.

I love their Holiday themed movies.
I really love watching it during the holiday season.
I think it went downhill after That's So Raven...which I love.

Phantom of the Megaplex was AWESOME! I think one of my earliest crushes was on Taylor Handley in that film.
Is Date with a Vampire the one with Caroline Rhea?
Beyond Phantom though, I've not heard of half of those...granted we didn't get cable until 2004...
