re: Disney Channel 2009 Halloween Movie List

A few of those are kind of... Err, random. Muppets Wizard of Oz?...

I adore Halloweentown, though. :) Don't Look Under the Bed gave me nightmares when I first saw it, and I don't think I've ever actually seen all of Phantom of the Megaplex. (Probably due to the fact that I once read a Muppets picturebook that was a spoof of Phantom, and there was a glowing bookcase in it that gave me nightmares for weeks. Yes, I used to be scared of Phantom of the Opera. I think I was also given a doll of Wishbone as the Phantom, and I hid it somewhere where I wouldn't see it.)

... Boy. I was a wimpy kid.

I've always enjoyed Tower of Terror and Hocus Pocus.

I'm going to really date myself here, but is anyone else old enough to remember when Nickelodeon used to do "Nick or Treat?" You had to send in your name to the station, and then every day during the month of October during a set time, they would put someone's name on the screen during a commercial break. That person then had like 5 minutes to call the network, say "Nick or Treat" (on the air), and then they won a prize. I remember entering every year, but never winning.

But this was back when Nickelodeon did cool things like this and the Super Toy Run.

I LOVE "Don't Look Under The Bed"! I wish they'd release it on DVD (or maybe they have and I just haven't thought about it in awhile so I haven't noticed, lol). I also love fall/Halloween. Hooray! :)

I remember that Nickelodeon stuff. I loved it.

Does anyone remember a Halloween special from the early 90's called "The Last Halloween?" It was about some small town's candy plant closing or something, so there would be no more Halloween to celebrate after that year. And there were some space creatures that help to save it.

And I think my dad's company was running some contest to collect letters in candy wrappers to spell the word "Koobie" because that's what the creatures called candy.

Tower of Terror is available through the Disney Movie Club for $13! Heck yeah! I might just have to get it.

This is going to be some great TV watching this month. I need to stock up on teabags so I can curl up in my snuggie and enjoy!

I love the Halloweentown movies---they are such fun! I also dig out my old 80's horror flicks and have a marathon on Halloween.

I can't believe they aren't showing Under Wraps! Classic.
If I were a woman, I'd marry Stephen Joshua Sondheim. But then again, he's gay, so.... "They say the unexamined life is not worth living. But what if the examining becomes your life? God damn it!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was weird that the Wizards movie wouldn't be shown. I hate Disney...

You can still catch some of the old movies on weekends at 3AM.

Okay, that list has even stranger stuff! Aladdin? Ratatouille? Ummm? Those have what to with Halloween? (I mean, I love the movies but what are they doing there?)

Dammit, I was looking forward to Tower of Terror and Phantom of the Megaplex. I knew Selena Gomez's large head wasn't included enough on that first list.

re: Disney Channel 2009 Halloween Movie List

Constantine got me there & Halloweentown pushed me over the edge.

EDIT: I want to put up a Halloween DCOM avatar but I also don't want to get rid of Connie. Perhaps I will build it around him & his gloriously hairy chest.
