Crazy amount of money, Disney has been wanting to start their own streaming service and now they own 60% of Hulu. In the comic book movie world they just bought all the characters that fox owned as well. I'm sure that x-men vs avengers movie will make an insane amount of money. Anastasia also could become a Disney princess now too.

I wonder if they'll purchase the Sound of Music Tour in Salzburg and add costumed characters! Maybe have Austria co-opt Germany in EPCOT and add a ride where you have to hide and escape from the Nazis! So much potential!

I find it interesting that Faux News wasn't included in the deal if the Murdoch clan is trying to liquidate the family's assets. Perhaps the sexual assault payouts made FN too toxic for Disney to touch.

So most the stuff at Universal is now owned by Disney. So is Universal now an outlet of Disney (World)? A suburb?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Yes, but half the rides & characters in Universal are now owned by Disney (Marvel, The Simpsons, Men in Black). Before you know it, Disney will buy the Harry Potter franchise.

I know when it comes to the Marvel stuff they still have to honor their contract with Universal for however long that is, it's been that way since Disney bought Marvel awhile back. That's why Epcot is introducing a guardians of galaxy ride since they weren't part of that agreement with Universal. It's that way for the USA parks but the other ones in the world are adding marvel themed rides soon.

Now I don't know for sure but I would assume something like this is set in place for the simpsons and other properties as well.

Whenever those contracts run out I'm sure they will take them back though.

The deal with Marvel is for perpetuity. And it’s not all of the American parks, only Walt Disney World. The agreement is for either 60 miles from Islands of Adventure or east of the Mississippi River, I can’t remember which. The Marvel characters are very much a presence in Disneyland.

So insane. Disney is basically just a baller. Guess that Frozen money really helped.

I just hope this doesn't destroy Universal Studios. I don't want to see that part just go to the waste side. I mean they have a whole Simpsons land.

Unfortunately this deal was great for Fox News. They will probably start snatching up local news markets. Look for their influence to spread.
